Fallout 3 Caravans

Well, ive been waiting for about 73 hours in total for ANY caravan merchants to come by, ive been outside of rivet city and megaton, and I have not seen a caravan. I saw them at the start of the game, but no more. And no, I havnt murdered them.

Yeah, those caravans are never around when you need them... Damn caravans never there when I need that last component for a custom weapon...

They never get stuck or anything in my game. Or so I belive as I never need one so I don't really look for them :/

They travel around following a set route, so you might be best off heading to different places to see what happens. When I'm looking for them, I tend to fast-travel between Megaton, Canterbury Commons, Rivet City and Temple Of The Union. There's a few other places on their route (definitely Paradise Falls, possible The Republic Of Dave) but those are usually enough for me.

If you never find them in any of those places... are you sure you're looking in the right place? Just outside the gate at Megaton, a little outside Canterbury Commons towards where the AntAgoniser/Mechanist hideouts are, down below the ramp at Rivet City, etc.

I usually wait for them at Canterbury Commons or Megaton.
When they come through Canterbury I usually find them where the road forms a circle.
