So I have Fallout 3 GOTY and it crashes a lot, mostly just game freez sometimes it crashes to windows. And also it mostly happens when I'm indoors almost never in the wasteland. The OS is vista home premium and my PC is powerful enough to run it. Any suggsestions, please =) thank you

Are you running a multicore processor? If so you have to write some items in.

I have the GOTY for the PS3 and my brother has the GOTY for the 360. A look around various forums also made me aware of it. BOTH are terrible for glitches and crashes indoors. I've had to start a whole new game simply because the game kept crashing at a certain point (Waters of Life quest in the Memorial.)

I was told to not use Energy Weapons since that makes the game slow down more.

It really annoys me that a patch was never made for this game.

Okies, I got a screenie for you

Now what you have to do is find bUseThreadedAI=0
change it to =1
then add in InumHWthreads=2

Save and exit.
Also run it on lower video settings

Thank you for that, those changes reduced my game crashes by 90%. Though it now lags a bit when things get very busy on screen, but I can live with that.

Well glad that helped, its what worked on mine, the game always lags when a lot of action happens, its just in its nature.
