Just shut up and give us the construction set man! This is what's influencing my purchase.
Don't you get that automatically? For me, it just installed with Morrowind.
Nope, unlike previous Bethesda releases, no tools will be available for the PC version.
Yet, from what Ive seen there sort of working on one, but have been finishing the game off. Hopefully a construction kit will be out a month or two after.
I dont think PS3 user's will miss out on much, but I dont see why they are missing out on it, my PS3 can get to the series of tubes and downloads patches for games, why cant they have the extra content. Ill be getting PC version anyway.

So I guess I'll be playing on my 360 which is a shame, for some reason I was hoping to get this on my PS3. Nevermind though, as long as the DLC isn't as big as The Shivering Isles, then I'm not that fussed.

"How many folks have all three [platforms] and every time [they buy a game] are always like, 'Okay, which platform do I play it for?'" he said.
Well if one of them does not offer the same amount of content (whether it's in the long run or not) as the other two, its pretty obvious which one not to go for, in my mind.

Already got it prebought for PC and am waiting for my Valut Tek bobblehead'n'lunchbox.
I'm pretty sure DLC doesen't make or break a game. At least that's if the content wasn't stripped from the game and then offered up for download.

I think he's saying that PS3 owners should [not] lament the fact, or buy better computers to get it; it's still an awesome, long game, the the DLC isn't going to be any big project. But if you have all three, might as well get the one that gives your the opportunity of probably getting a little extra. It's like having to choose between being bitten by two snakes, one of which gives you some ice to put on the wound afterward.
Exactly my thoughts. I'm just disappointed that the DLC "isn't going to be any big project".

Well considering 80% of the downloading of DLC (console) is on 360 I'm not surprised Bethesda went exclusive for some MS $.

Well, perhaps you are right but they are announcing the damn thing before the game comes out. I mean, they are pretty much telling us to our faces that they will release an incomplete game.

That is totally crap. HE isn't saying it's an INCOMPLETE game by any means, especially when he DID say:

"...a game that offers 100 hours of gameplay, we don't feel like we're sort of short-changing you up front," he continued. "You're gonna get your $60 worth out of this game, no matter what platform you buy it for, because there is so much content and so much stuff to do."

PS3 owners just won't get the SMALL addon(s) they release AFTER the game is out, which I DO find rather perplexing. But still, don't say they are releasing an incomplete game to PS3 owners, because that's bunk.

OK man just CALM down. I get your POINT, but you still get MINE too. HE says that you get your moneys worth, but WON'T get the add-ons (LIKE OMFG WHERE DOES HE SAY THEY ARE SMALL?! they could be substantial and huge [http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/53597] for all we know!) and says it's FAIR. Why? Perhaps there's 300 hours of the game, but like Oblivion, maybe it was all just bullshit copy and pasted ruins. Only a handful of sidequests and sub-stories were good, like DB and TG.

Here's a quote from the article:

"...Hines also said that in terms of scope, the DLC won't be the equivalent of a full expansion pack but should fall in the range of the Knights of the Nine add-on for Bethesda's previous effort, Oblivion."

So there you go, not huge as you speculate. Sorry if I got riled, I'm on a Reese's and Coke buzz right now. Easily excitable.

It seems like there will be a great amount of variation in dungeons/caves and there are evil sidequests and good sidequests and all of them have more than one outcome, sounds alright to me

Hundreds of slightly retwisty variations of the Underground Cave motif don't count!

I think an important thing to notice is "we don't feel like we're sort of short-changing you up front". He means to say "We're short-changing you up the backend."

I think this wouldn't be as big of an issue if he would at least say why PS3 doesn't get it.

Expecting poor sales? Microsoft paid 50 million? What's the deal here?

I'm going to laugh so hard when Microsoft realized they paid 50 million for Armour for dogmeat.
