Fallout 3 from the very beginning grabs you by the balls and forces you to accept just how great and all powerful it is. First by saying hey look you're being born, Liam Neeson is your father, and your mom is dead! Then it furthers your feeling that time always seems to get away and fast forwards you one year. You're a toddler, oh look its time to distribute your stat points. Then the game grabs you once more and makes you ten years old, you get your pip boy which will act as your inventory/stats/map/flashlight/radio. a couple more flash forwards later and you find that your father has left the vault, the Overseer isn't happy, and that there definately won't be cake...You escape from the vault, I won't ruin the story any farther, but I will say it is quite good, damn good. But what is a great narrative without gameplay? well from the first head you bash in to the first head you, well, blow off, you'll quickly realize that this game is gold. Quite frankly Fallout 3 is so immersive that there isn't much more to say about it, I'm sure in ten years people will make fun of it for looking fake, but for now it's the closest thing to wandering a post apocolyptic america...10/10 or 5/5, or whatever you prefer.
