Okay, you need to do this, and follow these directions exactly. Also, have them recorded.zacaron said:I am trying to get through one part in the capital were you need to get the sat dish from the museum but everytime I go there and begin fighting the supermutants the game freezes, any Ideas on what to do?

1.) Get in the car.
2.) Drive to the store.
3.) Have money.
4.) Play the guitar on the back of a whale.
5.) Take the game after impressing those who watch.
6.) Ride the whale to subway.
7.) Buy me a $5 foot long, which cheese, meat, pickles, tomatoes, and I want it cooked.
8.) Ride the whale to South Carolina (in the United States of America.)
9.) Give me the sandwich.
10.) Take the game to your house.
11.) Play Fallout 3.
12.) ?!?!?!?!?!
13.) Profit.
no no I have finished installing it I was just going through the mall and I found one of the supermutants shot it and the game crashed, I managed to move on by just not shooting the mutants in that area but thanks for the help.GyroCaptain said:It's probably either a bad texture/model/sound file in that area (bad disc), or something that your graphics architecture/physics engine can't handle. When it's the latter, it could be everything from particle effects glitches on one of the miniguns firing, a reflection on part of the tower, or anything. Those things are tricky but get fixed with patches sometimes. I think one of the scripted random encounters might be located in the Mall, so that could have something to do with it; if that's broken.
What % is installed? I don't know since mine is 360, but if it's running off installed files it could be one of them that's corrupt and not your disc. If it keeps crashing after trying another disc, then reinstall...
If another disc and a reinstall didn't fix it, your computer's no good for it.
