You really should provide people with a link to these things: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3808
Patch didn't work, although it did speed up the crashing. Thanks anyway.

It sounds like it's your game, not your computer. Try borrowing a disc off a friend & cracking it, or pirating a new copy. You did pay for it, after all.
Well it can't really be the game if it worked on another computer can it? Interesting last proposition though...

Yeah, that may be your best course of action. Not sure what the real problem is though.

Have you defragged the file? That might be the issue.
nope. But if that was the problem, shouldn't the test computer have crashed as well?
Not if the game got fragmented on your non-test computer. It happens. Once my TF2 files got fragged the minute after I downloaded them, so who's to say it didn't happen twice?

Tried disabling SLI through the nVidia drivers yet? =) If fallout is throwing hissy fits because of the odd dual-GPU layout of the GTX295, that might solve the issue.

Try updating your video drivers and if that doesn't work try a different patch version. I'm running Fallout on 1.5 .
Done and done. No change, except I think it loads slightly longer before crashing
If you're still stuck, try some older driver versions. Can't hurt to try.

Things like you're experiencing was what switched me to ATI cards a few years back.

try eliminating variables eg harware then software if hardware it will work somewhare else but not on you good computer because it worked on one but not this means that it isn't a software issueso test and swap your harware and the geforece 295gtx model is one of the best ever made and i intend to get one if you get one but if you get into the game screen and then new game that means it is't booting up right eg there may be so it may also be a software issue but PLEASE tell ME if you solve this because that gpu is expensive so tell me if there is a problem ps try swaping gpu's with the grap computer and try it then, same problem then you have a bit of a problem but PLEASE tell me i dout it is a harware problem i would just see if it is a software problem

Have you tried using just your old 8800, the 295 is very new so it may not be supported. Thats the only thing I could think of. Also have you tried any other game with your computer?

every other game Ive tried on the new computer works perfectly, including Galactic Civilizations 2 which is 5 years old, so if a 5 year old game can support the GTX 295 I don't see how Fallout 3 can't.

Also, my old computer literally had its parts overheated and melted, so boo =(
