hey all, another dumb tech problem probably easily solved by the common monkey:

i used to have fallout 3 for pc, but in all my moving around llast year i lost the game disc. however, i still had the case and therefore the LIVE code. seeing as i didnt have the disc i copied it from a mate, and i was wondering if there was some way to change the LIVE code i copied with the game to my own, because its not letting me on LIVE

_UPDATE ON THE CRASHING THING-
i give up. i've tried every fix that the internet offered. I played with my codecs, turned everything down, updated my drivers, made sure it only runs on one core, used Skullptura's fix, got all the DLC, and nothing. still crashes like a mother beast. does anyone else out there know anymore fixes? im desperate, school holidays has just started and im out of games...

-'Nuther update-
i think -knock wood reeeaaaal hard- that i fixed it. found a fix on the net that was to do with a multi core com, and its a whopping 2 lines in the .ini file, been playing for a but and it works...for now

I'm fairly sure each game is linked to its code. You'll need to buy a new game if you want a new code, or at least try using his.

there is no way to change the LIVE code that came with the original game, but any other inactive Live code will work with it

Bah that sucks mate. Fallout 3 being an awesome game and all. Good luck in your endeavours.
cheers, yeah, possibly the only game that i've lost about a week to and not realised...and also a benchmark to which i judge other games
