So, liars and gentlemen. I ask you..... What are your favorite fallout 3 mods. And what do they do to your game!!!

I plan on playing the game as much as i can until i buy New Vegas. Because i know i'll never come back to it once i do... i'd like to make it a fresh experience!

Help a modding squib out!

Oh and i should also say, i'm not going crazy on the game. I want it to feel like a stock game. So no Halo warthogs, or anthropomorphic cats. No mario, no God items.

I sort of would like it to feel like someone went back in time and punched everyone at bethesda in the face. Altering the timeline, and the stuff they put in the game.

Martigan's Mutant Mod (MMM for short) is one of the greatest ones to recommend.
Yeah, i've already got that one installed. And i nearly pissed myself when 12 night ghouls tried to rip my face off. Thank god for landmines.

Fallout Mod Manager(FoMM) is an absolute must, as is killable children (those little bastards had it coming). I quite enjoy Greenworld, if you want to see a little bit of scenery.

That's not that bad, I think there's another subset for MMM that does zombie horde and then you get the critter increase one, It's scary seeing 40 glowing zombies sprinting at you across the plains when you want to get somewhere during the night, and you are level 4 with nothing but 3 landmines, 20 pistol rounds, and about 50 assault rounds.

I'd recommend an iron-sights mod.

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/search.php

Here's camera mod that sets the third person camera to behind-the-back, rather than over-the-shoulder.
It also fixes that annoying issue of not being able to hit anything closer than 10 feet away while in 3rd person view.

Just remembered, CUBE EXPERIMENTAL. Make sure to give this one a look, it's pretty damn incredible. More of an add-on than a mod.

Includes some pretty cool (though very over-powered) weapons too.

If I think of any more, I'll be sure to post the links.

Fomm is a must or else its crashy crashy time.

I'd recommend the "alternative beginnings" mod.

It changes your beginning so that you start the game as part of a different faction, and the NPCs react accordingly. I went a raider, n all the raiders were like "hey whats up"

Most other people shot on sight...

There's loads of great mods out there, I recommend spending some time figuring out what you want.

To get around I like to use a <a href=http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8149>TARDIS mod (although I add locations myself); <a href=http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2834>Mark and Recall as well as a Household Teleporter which returns me to my Megaton home.

I also use <a href=http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1696>Echo Battery charger; <a href=http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4966>Electron Charge Packs for gauss rifle; and <a href=http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3623>better perks.

I consider my mod that buffs Dogmeat up and gives me a whistle for him essential, but I can't remember which one it is.

Most people would probably consider this combination game-breaking but hey, all I can say is it's made the game more fun and re-playable for me.

I'm not too keen on most fan made worlds or even dungeons though, so if you're looking for those I can't really help you. I really wish there was a mod that let me roll like I could in Oblivion though. Or at least jump like I could.

Fook 2 and MMM.

Also, a mod that gives me a water purfier and another mod that lets me bottle water.

Is Martigen's mod for Fallout 3 as frustrating as his mod for Oblivion? Martigen's Monster Mod had a nasty habit of ritually slaughtering framerates and putting spawn points right where characters whom you'd rather have seen alive (and who weren't marked essential) liked to travel.

Warhammer 40k space marines armor! It grants you one hell of a scary look to be wearing Black Templar' armor in the wasteland.

Also,I use a couple of radio station mods which add further immersion in the game, one of them is called civil defense broadcast system I think.

Thankfully, There aren't many vital NPC's wandering the wastes. Or at least, i don't care about very many of them... oh and i didn't notice any frame rate issues.
