yeah, the DLC pissed me off. It didn't even give me the winterized combat armor, the only set of armor other than the stealth suit that I actually wanted. Of course its a good thing that I have the PC version. I just type in the item code and a few other words and BAM, its mine... even though I should have been able to get it from the armory in the first place...

the next DLC better be an actual expansion and not a $10 mission...

and a level cap increase would have been nice, or just removing it all together. At least there are mods that remove the level cap that shouldn't have even been there in the first place.

I think I'll hold off on buying it until they release all the DLC in one box (You know they're gonna).

Well, one of them is going to raise it to 30. I know that everyone bitches about it stopping at twenty, but for fuck's sake people! Do you know how incredibly bored you would get, continuing to level up, that slowly? Without a ton of new quests to compensate, you would be grinding up ten levels for absolutely no reason. The level cap is there so that you don't get so bored with the game that you stab yourself with a fork.

Plus, I despise the usage of the term "better be". Who the fuck do you think you are, to tell a company who made a fantastic game, and who are bothering to make fun for you with new things to do and interesting items, to make a non-threat like that? Better be. I'll tell you what, you take that PC G.E.C.K and make your own quest. and your own characters. And a new town.
I don't think that the DLC was bad, just that it gave me a quest and some new armor for $10.

Plus, what they mostly promised wasn't even there. The art style wasn't differant from the main game, it was basically the same only with white on everything. Most of the stuff there was already in the main game, only a couple of textures were changed. The only real new things were the Gausse Rifle, Chinese Stealth Suit, and the Winerized Combat Helmet (which you can't even get) And the only armor I really wanted was the Winterized Combat Armor, and I couldn't even get it without using the developer console.

It just wasn't worth the $10

plus, I have seen oblivion mods that are shitloads better than any DLC that was released.
And I AM learning how to use the GECK and all of the associated programs used in creating things. And trust me, Its not something you can learn overnight. Real-Life is also a factor. The reason I expect so much is because Bethesda is a large company, and has a lot more funds than most modders, and yet modders seem to produce more entertaining add-ons.

I have to agree that it was to short but it was very enjoyable to say for the most.

The whole idea of stealth is in vein and for some reason I thought we could get to level 30 with this DLC.

Going into the game I had already had my hopes for the expansion brought down because my brother had started playing it midday while I was at my classes and he was finished by the time I was walking home (of course he had to call me and ruin what few surprises there where). Though it sucked for me, i think it really prepared me and put me in a different mindset for the expansion; "this is going to be short so enjoy what you can."

So I went stealth and sniper the entire time, searched everything!! (I had way more landmines, grenades and missiles then I'd ever use even in the reg game). Just real quick on that note, did any find any real reason why they gave you so many mines haha? Okay anyway, I never played the reg game stealth because I saw no point to it, just seemed like a waste of stats because you get enough stimpacks to just shoot everything anyway, so it was basically a serious change in gameplay for me (and yes you can do stealth well if you take it slow). Yeah the content was short but I milked it for all I could.

As for the scripted fight at the end, if you listen to some of the outcasts interacting before you enter the sim you'll hear them arguing over something. I think the main problem was that the main dialogue about it happens when you are in the armory taking everything in sight and most people miss it.

Unfortunately I heard that the Pit expansion just got pushed back into march, which i can imagine is just salt in the wounds for many people. But I'll keep starting new games cause it seems that everytime I find some weird side story or building that I didnt know of before. But I love fallout, thanks for the stealth suit and sword (man i was tired of carrying that motorcycle fuel tank on my back) hah.
