Fallout 4: Far Harbor Trailer Shows off New Locations, Weapons, and Enemies

//cdn.themis-media.com/media/global/images/library/deriv/1318/1318954.jpgGet a look at the largest DLC planned for Fallout 4 in this new trailer.

Thee first trailer for the upcoming Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC has been released by Bethesda this morning. It shows off the new area - an island off the coast of Maine - that players will visit.

Bethesda describes the new DLC thusly:

"In Far Harbor, a new case from Valentine's Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?"

The Far Harbor DLC will bring new faction quests, new settlements, and new dungeons. You'll also face new enemies, and loot plenty of new gear to use against them. Hopefully, all this content will end up in the Creation Kit as well, so we can see what modders will do with it.

Far Harbor is set to release on PC May 19, on Xbox One later in May, and on PS4 in June. It will set you back $24.99.

Anyone else notice the Gecko? One of my fave fallout creatures.

Whole thing looks very Point Lookout in terms of atmosphere but I think we were all expecting that. Looks good I think.

So Nick Valentine is the guy who kicks this one off, huh. Does that mean I'll have to complete his portion of the main quest before I can get to Far Harbor?

Yeah, I'll most likely have to-
-rescue him from the Triggermen first-
-but will Far Harbor be available straight off the bat at that point?

To be fair assuming you completed pretty much the second main story quest isn't too much of an imposition on Bethesda's part.

True, but I don't wanna go through the same motions on each playthrough. I'll do the main quest on my first save file, then mostly put it on hold for the others. It's epic the first time around, but that doesn't mean I'll be wanting to do it EACH time!

Besides, going too far on the main quest is gonna trigger that annoying-
-Brotherhood of Steel invasion, with vertibirds exploding all over the place forever - or at least until I do some shit for THEM too.
Yeah, Nick's job should be pretty much done by that point - but I still want to know, in the event of a new playthrough, how much old stuff I'll have to go through before I can get to the new part!

No ones going to mention how ridiculous asking $25 for dlc is? This isn't even a "there are tons of on sale games that are worth less than that", there are plenty of brand new titles released for that or even slightly less. Especially with how hit and miss Bethesda DLC is.

It's bigger than The Shivering Isles and the Shivering Isles was $30 on release, so honestly, it's a pretty good price tag.

The release date you posted is for the mods on console.

Far Harbor releases on all three platforms simultaneously.
