Fallout 4 Luck Stat Explained in Last Vault-Tec SPECIAL Video

May fortune smile upon you.

Bethesda concludes the series of Vault-Tec educational videos covering the attribute system of Fallout 4 today, with this final video on Luck.

By putting points into Luck, characters gain access to a wide range of benefits. A high rating can provide better critical hit opportunities, increase the amount of caps and materials found in the wasteland, and attract the attention of the Mysterious Stranger to intervene in combat situations. Oh, and it's great for making enemies explode in a spray of gore.

Fallout 4 releases for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One November 10.

Wow, that series ended fast. I kind of wish they had a way to keep going.

I really hope they put in some way to control what perks you get: I always hated the bloody mess one.

I almost always play with lots of Luck, mainly because I can't decide on what to put points in and so just throw them in Luck knowing it could never be wrong.

That was a great series! Thanks Bethesda!

I enjoyed watching though these S.P.E.C.I.A.L. bits, but I would have loved them if they had made them with respect for the context of the timeline.

I have thoroughly enjoyed these videos, my only fear is that the game doesn't live up to expectations and I'll have ended up enjoying these videos more than the game itself.

I think I would die in Fallout. Only 20 days too? Neat. It'll come out near the same time as Starcraft's expansion. Which I'll be playing for a good week and wait for FO4 to go on steam sale. I'll wait a year even.

I really only boosted my Luck in New Vegas so I could win at the casinos. Never really bothered with it in Fallout 3.

I'll admit it, I'm going to miss these. Great videos, every one.
Truly, the biggest downside to Fallout 4 not having skills is that we won't get 13 more of these videos. :c

Still, the ones they made were fun, so there's that. :)

I started both with just one point in Luck. Didn't really need Luck and it sort of made narrative sense, seeing as very unfortunate things happens to both characters.
