Ahem, it's two games. Fallout 4, the sequel to Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas, which isn't.
Also, I need to see your internet license, it's getting revoked and you're getting an e-ticket.
And a permanent Escapist stamp to identify you as a potential troll.
Good day.

Why is everyone getting so excited if we only know the title? If there smart though they will stickto the Fallout 3 model.

Next time, add a little more content and subject for discussion in your thread, new guy. Keep trying though, we all learn one way or another... whether it be advice from a stranger, or a small plonk from the banhammer (I learnt the latter way, as my lack of Matrix badges will show...)

On topic, I'm slightly interested in Fallout: New Vegas, but my sights are set more highly on Bethesda's new IP, Brink.

I hope these different developers or programmer or whatever take the gameplay in a different direction, more towards variety and in game shooting mechanics. Also yay! i have much girly excitement, but not as much as i have for borderlands zomg1

Looking forward to it. It's being done by a company with a nice track record of good RPGs (in the interest of full disclosure I consider Bethesda's games to be fairly shallow, and while fun, don't do series justice) and it has some of the team that was working on Van Buren.

Um... yay?

Looking at you're other threads and I noticed not one of them has had any type of substance. Please next time you make a topic make it so there can be conversation.

Fallout 4 and Fallout: New Vegas are actually different games. New Vegas is being developed by Bethesda, who also made Fallout 3. Fallout 4 is being developed by some of the original developers of Fallout and Fallout 2. However, they've stated that they're going to adopt some elements of Bethesda's style, presumably the real-time combat aspect, as well as V.A.T.S. I'm also pretty sure that the events of Fallout 3 won't really play into Fallout 4 or New Vegas, other than the Enclave having a new president, assuming they actually take place after Fallout 3.

I think you'll find it's the other way around. New Vegas is being done by Obsidian, and 4 is being done by Bethesda.

Fallout: New Vegas will be awesome because of the old devs working on it, not in spite of it. Yeah, I'm one of those people who didn't want Bethesda to make Fallout 3 (I was pleasantly surprised, alright...), but I still think that I'll like this version better. It will probably only have an 80-85 on Metacritic (like all Obsidian games do), and it will probably be buggy, and will probably be alienating to a lot of people. On the other hand, people who work at it will probably love the game. So I can't wait.

I'm actually semi-looking forward to this as well. Fallout 3 wasn't half bad, but I did find many things dissapointing. I actually felt it wasn't nearly as atmopsheric when in-town as it could have been. Fallout 1 and 2 gave an incredible sense of... downtrodden, destroyed, sometimes ugly (physically and mentally) people. With the exception of big-town, most people seemed positively cheerful, or at least optimistic. And bloody *everyone* was 'quirky'. They're aiming for something a little darker with new vegas and if they manage it i'll be very pleased. Maybe it'll be a cheap rip-off of new reno but shit, 3D new reno? I'm in.
