The newly released Fallout 4 came with a new feature, building your on little house\town\shop\bunchofstuff. So any escapists in here who would like to share their own little creation that they are proud of?

Now, I am not a creative person, like, I am creative like a brick its creative. But I am pretty proud of my recent creation:

Pretty good view of the tower and the lighting screamed "SCREENSHOOT TIME!"

Those are heavy turrets, because fuck you and everyone near you.

Yeah it's mostly empty, I just don't know what to do with the space.

On the roof at least there a chair... And a spike thingy that looked cool.

The view, decided to show a bit of my character too, sue me if you don't like it

My idea with this was simple really. Made everything in a way that it looks very cheaply and badly made and I think I nailed it. I also made another house before just to test the building, but despite also being proud of it, it's nothing to write home about.

EDIT: I've finally decorated the place, it is finally completed.

First floor is a storage space... Which I don't use for anything other than comics... Yeah.

Second floor is a workshop, there's power armor, gun workshop, even a armor workshop you can't see because of the angle.

Living room on the third floor. Looking now might need a little living it up, but it's okay.

Forth Floor is the bedroom with a bathroom (Seriously am I the only one who HAS to build a bathroom in everything?). Nothing much to see here.

Roof... I added a carpet. And a table... Yeah.

More view. With Power Armor. It's a modified T60f Model, costly upgrade that much, but worth it. I wanted to show it... Sue me if you don't like it.

In that mean time I also build a restaurant... Which I scrapped because it took way too much space and it was a very silly idea anyway.

I also took some of Ezio's exterior design ideas, modified somewhat and I now building a HQ\Office for the Minuteman in Sanctuary.
Here's a peak, I haven't finished yet, might need to go and grab more steel before I do.

It's a bit smaller and there a two square front, but most of Ezio's ideas are there. Also I put a balcony there because I love balconies. And there's four turrets, two you can see in the picture and another two in the back. I also put a bell there, I don't know how it works exactly and I don't plan on using it but it seemed to fit the theme.

The back it's a bit ugly, but it functions as a lookout point. You can kinda see the other two turrets in the roof in there. And Piper, she's not part of the building though so ignore her. And yes, my defense it's throught the roof.

The first floor. It's an office alright, gonna put a few things in here, maybe remove a few stuff. It's not ready yet, I plan in light the place up eventually.

That's the second floor. I want to put about 4-5 beds and a few contaiders in there. My idea it's not build a house but something akin to fire department, except that instead of fire is raiders\supermutants and instead of water it's bullets/knifes/laser/plasma/explosions...you get it.

The balcony view to the market I build. Looked like a perfect spot for a market really. It's much better than that other open market I build with wiring fences and wood floor previously. (And scrapped)
Oh, and you look at that, you can see the back of my first building ever. Pretty nice for first try.

Don't tempt me, I've got a lawyer at the ready.

OT: I don't have Fallout 4, but this feature actually looks pretty cool.

Also, you should fix the title before someone more clever than me makes a joke about it

That's pretty neat. I have been working on a house in Sanctuary that I like so far, but it needs more work. My bedroom is full of cat pictures hanging on the walls XD

i did something similar to the op except every floor was wider so it was like an inverted pyramid with some platforms overhanging with turrets. it doubles as a town hall, market, storage area, construction yard and defensive citadel.. oh and most importantly a basketball court on the roof

oh and used "shack walls" to wall off the entire damn town :)

I haven't taken the time to really fiddle with the settlement building mechanics. Hell, when I was building my house I got fed up trying to get the damn walls to do what I wanted and just went with the larger prebuilt house.

Ive been working on a massive tree house around that big tree in sanctuary. Its not nearly done yet, in fact Ive only laid the groundwork so far. I still have t put in furnishing, lights, defenses, etc.

I'm having real issues with getting walls to snap to the way I want them, especially the junk based perimeter walls which seem to be deliberately made to not be placeable without half a foot gaps between them.

I'll try and get something presentable in the near future, but not being able to produce a solid perimeter wall is really harshing my vibe.

If you can gain access to the Cabot House, you can get a full set. It's a little northwest of Goodneighbor. I got the quest that pointed me towards it in Bunker Hill. Just fyi since you are looking for a pool table set. xD

I do wonder how you unlock more stuff? I've found a few copies of the Live and Learn magazines, which have unlocked a few items for me to build. Is that the only way to get new stuff to build? 'Cause I've yet to unlock pool tables and stuff like that.

I think I'm going to wait for some mods to improve the building UI because right now I can't work with it at all.

well i'll be heading up there now. thanks.

the picket fences magazine lets you build some more stuff. but i think pool tables are unlocked from the start. check the tables section in furniture again.

I chose to make the Starlight Drive-In my base of operations.

First I deleted everything, then I built wooden walls around the entire perimeter (I didn't use the Junk Walls because they don't seem to snap together). I put a single door underneath the awning of the main building that's still standing, and lined the top of the awning with Heavy Machinegun Turrets and a pair of spotlights. Inside the wall behind the door I placed a guard post and a pair of flamethrower traps pointed at the door.

I put a large water purifier in the pool of water in the middle, powered by a medium generator. In the grassy area next to the workbench I planted crops.

On a flat section of land I built a 2-floor wooden barracks with crafting tables and stores on the first floor and sleeping quarters for 20 people on the second floor.

I used the smaller room at the bottom of the movie screen as my personal room. Along the back wall is a Bed, with a wardrobe at the foot of it for all of my clothing items. Along the left wall is a desk for all of my miscellaneous holotapes and notes, and a cooler on top of the desk for all of my aid items. Next to the desk, also along the left wall, is a metal storage chest for all of my weaponry. To the right of the entrance is my Bobblehead display and a pair of magazine racks. Above the bed I put a shelf to display the robot model kits I've found.

The larger room at the back of the movie screen was cleared and is now used as a storage facility for all of my Power Armor suits.

At the top of the movie screen I stationed three snipers to provide overwatch for the entire fort.

So far it's been working out pretty great.

When I saw this area, my first idea was to build a base on top of it. Also took me WAY too long to figure it all out.

The ugly shack at the side is pretty much a home for any settlers and a platform to put my defences and generators and all my work benches are put in where the power armour station is by default. Got a couple more turrets on the back side of the property. It's a shithole but it's MY shithole.

Well...until I figure out what I want to do with The Castle. That place is a basebuilders paradise and looks like it'll allow some really cool set ups.

I love to build up a fortress at my settlements, but then I never get to see them in action. Is there a mod or command line that will allow the AI to attack settlements regardless of defense? Also, is there a way to get them to attack more frequently? Because my settlements don't get attacked very often even with 0 defense.

Play on the hardest difficulty (optional) and build settlements with lots of water purifiers. Like a value of 200-300 water. This increases it's danger even if it has a lot defenses.
