Developer: Obsidian

Publisher: Bethesda

It's built on the same engine as Fallout 3.

It's in Vegas (duh)

There are rumours of multiple beginnings, Dragon Age style, as well as vehicles and the ability to play a ghoul character.

I think its getting developed, somewhere. If all the lawsuits stopped it would make it a lot easier to keep track of.

But don't you find an apocalyptic, survival word where most of the populace are dead kind of a bad base to start an MMO on?

No... it isn't.
I did PHRASE it poorly. Bethesda itself is not, but its subsidiary Obsidian is currently developing New Vegas. Bethesda has said they WILL make FO4 in the future.

I was wrong about V13, as I had been informed the lawsuit had been finalized and that interplay had totally lost the rights to develop. They have not yet.

there's a good chance Fallout 4 will not be out by the end of this decade let alone within 2-3 years of the previous sequel, I mean, think about how slowly bethesda make sequels to their games.

Bethesda aren't working on Fallout 4, Obsidian (who aren't a subsidiary of Bethesda) is making New Vegas.

I suppose that's true. Besides they could always just do a half-assed job so only a few people would join and say they did it for that reason, to make it look like an empty world, to cover up the general laziness of MMO developers nowadays.

Willingness to sacrifice possible monetary profit to provide that added realism for fans who have been waiting for years.

Well now I'm just going to be dissapointed when it turns out the nuclear holocaust simply left an unpopulated void (unfit for release), rather than a sparsely populated earth.

I dread what moving at that speed would do to the frame-rate in a Fallout universe.

Not at all! I walked everywhere in Oblivion too, and that map was much bigger than the Capital Wasteland.

And if the map is even bigger then that's more graphics processing at any given moment and a fast-track to red rings or broken frame rates.

Unless they scrap it and use the Far Cry 2 engine or something. That thing is a beast (pity about the game)

I hated those damn horses.
