I have been reading about how buggy fallout new vegas is and before i bought it was considering waiting for a update but took the plunge thinking, "what the hell, mine as well." I have spent about 40 hours in the new fallout and in that time have had only one crash and it was due to heat. (its my room not my computer thats the issue) Besides the one "crash" the only "bug" was when my companion killed some drunk who I needed to help for a quest. It turns out he was set to be aggressive so it was my fault not the games. When compared to fallout 3, at lest for me, new vegas runs like a dream. I had crashes every now and then and numerous little bugs with 3 but it still ran, played and stole 100+ hours of my life on the first play through. I am speaking as a pc gamer so that might be the deal, is it really that bad on the consoles?

From what I've heard, (like most Bethesda games) it runs far smoother on PC than it does on console.

Too bad for me. Guess I'll have to wait for a goddamn patch *grumble*

I didn't encounter any bugs on my first playthrough (360) beyond minor clipping issues and 2 or 3 crashes (over the course of 40 hours), but now that I've tried to start a second character I encountered a frustrating, serious, gamebreaking bug. I can't level up. No matter how much XP I gain, no matter what I do, it won't level up. I made a thread about it here and nobody responded because apparently my threads are like kryptonite or something. I'm asking once again. CAN SOMEBODY HELP? Sorry if this derails the thread a bit, but seriously, I need a fix.

it's buggy whats more to talk about?

people might get lucky but overall it's littered with bugs, nothing gamebreaking though ( except for Boone, "Let me aim that for you next time")

Sadly i havent noticed that Bug, but i have the PC Version. Did you try beginning from Scratch again, you know, a third Character if you will? Otherwise you might want to try Google if anyone else has that Problem. Seems very bizarre to me.

Yes, it's very buggy.

There are a number of quest-ruining bugs, undroppable items, bugged NPCs that have the wrong disposition towards you, that kind of stuff.

I have it on PS3 and I finished the game on Hardcore mode completing a fair few side quests along the way and I found only one bug.

One.

And all it did was no-clip my companion into a dumpster for 10 seconds. Then everything was fine.
