FALLOUT movie ideas

I think a Fallout movie would be awesome, but with a mythos like Fallout it's hard to choose where to begin while capturing the spirit of the series.
So out of curiosity, where would you start? what kinda story would you tell?

As for me I thought about doing half and half prewar/wasteland, with the reveal being that the vaults were never meant to save anyone (something that would be shocking to any non player)

This turned out pretty good.

I think the Vaults not being just a means to save people during the war would be evident anyway if the film was half pre war, as all the weird vaults with 99 females and one guy, everyone named Dave etc would show it was obviously strange.

It would have to be funny for it to work, you can't take Fallout too seriously.

Note to self- do not ever search up harem on google images at school again. Even for a joke.

I think that the setting is complex enough for any number of things to be going on. The mid-west has so far been ignored. That could be fun.

I think that it could work in interesting ways in relating to modern times. What with everyone talking about "return to values" and "what the founding fathers wanted" Fallout would be an interesting metaphor for taking that to its (extreme) logical conclusion.
But yeah, part of why Fallout is so great is its dark humor (like having a strawman of the Tea Party survive the apocalypse and then try to buddy up with the Enclave, who just take what they need before leaving the Tea Party to die)
