too many to count, love the game but damn its buggy.

plenty of crashes,
dead bodies flying into the air after returning to a previous area,
no mouth movements during dialogue,
the "!" with the silencer on weathered 10mm pistol,
losing companions but still have the perks (did vault 22 trick to get them back - fallout nv wiki 'the vault' explains have to do that,

and thats enough ¬¬

Cant enter New Vegas anymore cause its "locked and requires a key" thusly fucking my game over.

I've had to restart a couple of times due to save data corruption. And sometimes I'll get glitches where the game will freeze every time I try to use a certain function of the pip-boy.

Also my character will sometimes get the urge to hold his gun gangsta style, wich makes shooting stuff very difficult.And I don't suppose this counts as a glitch, but I will never understand Obsidians liberal use of the invisible wall.

I've had a pretty choppy experience so far-360.

I don't really see a game that is plagued by bugs, just one that crashes on occasion and has some of the typical large-world bugs that are to be expected. Overreaction I guess, although there are a few isolated problems. Thanks to all the replies, and keep 'em coming!

-when using lever action weapons or the hunting shotgun and .357 revolver i can't shoot or access the pipboy for a few seconds(which is frustrating when surrounded by enemies!)

as for the lever-action rifles and revolvers, I think it might be something in the game, since I can easily shoot someone with Maria, enter pip-boy, and equip my hunting shotgun.

i should have been a bit more specific for this one. it only happens after reloading any of the weapons that i mentioned

The only things that seemed obviously buggy to me were things half-phasing through the ground (like enemies or dead bodies) and textures fucking up every now and then. Occasionally the game might get a bit hung up, but it has yet to crash on me.

Sometimes my companion runs off when near enemies (not towards them, just runs off randomly) but I don't know if that's a bug or just weird AI programing.

Oh yeah, occasionally the arms (when in first person) disappear then immediately float down to where they should be on my screen. It's very weird.

I don't know if this is a bug, but I have lost the dialog option to ask Usanagi to heal me. Anyone else have this happen?

I have encountered the worst bug ever, the ncr guy at the mojave outpost doesnt charge me for repairs. Its so horrible I just cant stand it. Other then that it freezes around once every 10-15 hours or so.

Are you sure its finished reloading? It could also be the gun jams because when that happens your guy has to unjam it before he can actually do anything else.

That reminds me of a minor problem early on in the game where I couldn't enter VATS for some reason after shooting manually. I figured it was just lag, but this might explain it.

I think aside from the random crashes and occasional misplace objects, the only major game-breaking things to happen to me have been npcs getting killed and without me having having anything to do with it! For shame. That's why I got the PC version for the command console (a.k.a. God Mode) to rez people I still need.

I haven't got it yet, and won't get it until a substantial patch is released that reduces the bugginess.

XBOX 360. Bugs with the patch from Friday. (Hardcore mode)

- Load times increase as I play. Quitting to dashboard once in a while helps.
- EDE explodes, leaving no body and no message or loss of perk.
- Went for a longish swim with the rebreather in Lake Mead and ED-E vanished. Still have the perk, but he's got my radiation suits.
- Other companion won't follow me after she and I killed her faction buddies that ambushed us and completed her quest line.
- Radscorpions have some sort of phasing disorder and fall through the ground. Cazadores too.
- Gansta style weapon holding sometimes, sometimes gun disapears.


Not seen since patch
- Freezes when going into VATS. (Got some super looking screens that way! but didn't take a photo.)

I really think they nailed Fallout this time around. But having my companions completely glitch out was a real immersion killer. And I really need a radiation suit but the spacesuit and radtion suite I had disapeared when ED-E went for the upgrade.

I've played for 45-ish hours, and I've gotten slowdown, choppiness, 90+ second load times, enemies clipping into rocks, followers disappearing forever, and of course the occasional full-on crash (freeze, no guide button, requires restarting etc.). Though I have two favorite glitches so far:

The first was when I was out in Primm when I found and fixed ED-E. I had Rex with me, so I sent him back to the Lucky 38. Later on I wanted to continue Rex's sidequest, but he was nowhere to be found. I thought I was screwed, until I found him sitting in the King's hideout. Before I could even walk up to him and ask WTF, he all of a sudden ran towards the door and left. When I chased after him, he magically disappeared, and I found him again in the Presidential Suite.

The best glitch by far happened during an assassination quest (I won't say which one, but you know what I mean). When I sniped my target, instead of dying or exploding, he floated up into the sky like he was on an invisible elevator. When he got like 200 feet in the air, he fell back down to the ground and died on impact.

a giant rad scorpion somehow ended up in goodsprings while I was level one and killed Trudy and Easy Pete.

This. Except it killed Smiles instead of Trudy.

This is the one that's really getting to me. Veronica is a must-have companion and I've just been through her character development quest, so there's an emotional attachment too. I can talk to her, tell her to follow, she doesn't move. She doesn't travel with me when I change areas, I told her to return to the 38 and she did but if I tried to recruit her again the same thing would happen. Tried Disable/Enable with the console, to no effect.
Happened in the same place you described.
My last save before it covers a large amount of quests, so I don't want to reload but I don't want to keep playing either. For now, I'm just giving up on the game - I'll come back when reloading doesn't seem as onerous.

Thanks for the link and fix. I actauly picked up a different follower so I could do more quests. I gave Veronica a dress (she actaully squealed like a 4 year old) and sent her to the casino to order room-service.

Post patch I am pretty sure I had problems with the ED-E picking fights with random NPCs. I wonder if that's a bug in the game or just ED-E?

I crash every so often, but that's not too much of a problem. Although every so often, I'll leave a building or other area and my companions will just die. Nothing around to kill them, just up and die.

Sometimes, VATS won't work, but I use ironsights most of the time anyway, so that's no big deal. Sometimes, I'll shoot, but the gun won't fire. I'll have plenty of ammo in the clip, but the damn thing just won't shoot. Even at close to 100% condition.

The companions dying and the not shooting bits are the most annoying. Although I do have the occasional super long loading times.

I play my copy on the PS3.

Come Fly With Me, the ghoul in the basement usually goes hostile after you talk to him without provocation. In my most recent run, the door to the Bright Follower's hideout locked me out after getting rid of the Nightkin.

Several random crashes. Crashes when I buy a playing card I already have but is still in my inventory. The usual Bethesda-implementation of Havoc physics glitches and idiosyncrasies.

The Weathered 10mm Pistol can have mods applied, but if you do the gun model isn't referenced properly/doesn't exist so you get a giant translucent block with an exclamation point on it instead.

Companions have dropped dead for no apparent reason.

Some doors count as getting a kill with energy weapons.

Sometimes, trying to hack a computer doesn't bring up a computer screen. After that I have to go to the Dashboard or every time I try to scope in a weapon a blank computer screen obscures the screen.

There are more that I can't remember at the moment.

No, the glitch I'm referring to is where the Steam cloud save reverts back to the first autosave/quicksave you have made. This is the first time I've heard of a bug like that.
