Fallout New Vegas GI Blues

Okay, so I got new vegas of steam given the whole summer sales. I got to the quest GI blues but I think it's bugged, as every time i need to get this gentleman to escort me and see anything suspicious, and the first time i did it wrong the king tells me to try again. But halfway through he just stops and refuses to move. Help me please

Since you got it on PC, you can use the console to reset the quest. Go to The Vault (fallout wiki), and there is a section in there on console commands. Should be something along the lines of "ResetQuest ..." with "..." being the quest ID number, which you should be able to get by looking up its entry in the wiki.

Just Shoot him, it doesn't realy effect he quest and it seems to be the easiest way for you.

That's the esiest way and it also pisses the king a bit.
Instead of a barter/speech/intelligence check after an encounter.
Kill him, he carries a very nice hunting pistol which is completly imaginary but very powerful early on. (Ammo is a bit scarce though)

Thanks guys, I'll try killing him, i dont want to use the console cos apparently it blocks you from getting acheivements. Cheers

Only blocks achievements gained between using the console and restarting the program (might actually just need to exit to main menu, but to be safe just exit the program and reopen). Thus, use console to reset the quest, check to be sure you can resume the quest, then save and exit. Reload the game and complete the quest and you'll get your achievement.

It's not a bug (at least not the first time you tried it). When he shoots people right at the end, check the bodies. Then you'll have what you need.

There is that... I was assuming he was freezing before that point. Let's hope the OP is still reading, 'cause this would be the best solution if that's the problem.

I'm thinking the bodies are probably still there. They are quest related and he hasn't checked them yet. I could be wrong.

The second half of his problem is actually a bug, though.
