I get that the old-timey music is supposed to be making some ironic statement about society after nuclear armageddon, but it was so repetitive in FO3. After hearing that weird song about "sunning" for the 4,000th time I shut the radio off and never turned it on again.
You're reading to much into it. Fallout has 30s, 40s and 50s music because the whole premise of Fallout is the 1950s idea of the future, after an atomic war.

And if you got bored to listening to 'Let's Go Sunning', you should have downloaded the mod that added 100 new GNR songs.

Well actually I had been planning to buy it from Steam all week and just downloaded it today. Your post finally convinced me.

I put my INT and AGL up high, hope it was the right choice. I found Fallout 1 incredibly tough.
Just note Fallout 2 is even harder than 1 it's insanely tough, the same rules as 1 apply but you have to be even more careful. Also turn down the difficulty for your first run through, especially for a non-combat character in the Temple of Trials, however 2 has better NPC's and better AI.

Are you sure? I thought they were a democratic system of government.
In the same way the Zimbabwe is democratic. It looks like a utopia at first glance but underneath it's massively corrupt and just as bad as everywhere else. This is why Fallout 2 rocked the whole political setup was done brilliantly.

If it is anywhere near as atmospheric as Fallout 3, I will be very happy.

That was pretty good!

i'm at least interested in the game now but i suppose no one can make any assumptions on if it will live up to the previous games just yet...

That guy is part of the NCR (new California republic.) it stands as the largest power house in the wasteland composed of survivors of many different California vaults. and is one of the largest power groups in fallout (until new Vegas. you don't get a huge ass city without people).
So it seems the NCR are gone be pricks and try to tack over new Vegas. and your gonna have to A.) help um
or B.) stop um.
or c.)im probably wrong about very thing. if you picked C your right =).

Edit. More info on NCR here: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/New_California_Republic

I remember hearing somewhere that Vegas is 50's style so it was run by THE MOB, so you might be able to play them off each other, don't remember where i heard this.

So, the whole game might be like Fallout 2's New Reno? Still sounds sweet. =)

I'm nerdgasming so hard right now...
This must be a special time for the internet, I've read several comments like that tonight haha, universal nergasm time.

And yes, oh lord I can't wait. I'm still chomping at the deliciousness of Fallout 3. And now New Vegas looks... wow... I don't wanna say "epic" for fear of bringing shame to the trailer.

The designer of New Reno is lead designer of New Vegas.

I think the Chinese would look on it as hurting the US more if it was unharmed.

Okay, I will be honest.

I was not expecting a city like that.
Go play the original fallouts.

Done?

You see what I mean. The people who are making this game (Obsidian) have lots of members to those who made the original Fallouts. The originals had an actual civilization.

I know who Chris Avellone is but from at least wikipedia it seems that Fallout: New Vegas may have someone else be the the lead designer... I don't know how much Chris Avellone is gong to do with Fallout: New Vegas, hopefully a lot because New Reno was pretty fun.

Except Avellone didn't design New Reno, Sawyer did he's also lead for Van Buren and New Vegas.
