So, considering all I have seen since the game has come out are threads dedicated to hating on the game, how about a thread about the positive and good points about this awesome game.

Share your views!

Also, don't go and start hating on this thread as well, if you want to complain, then there are plenty of other places you can do it. This is only for good points about the game.

Lets see, I think Its a very enjoyable game with great visuals, cool charectors, engaging plot, tons and tons of quests, guns, armour etc. Been playing it since the morning I got it, and enjoying every minute of it.

Though ive yet to play it I think it is safe to say the game is solid.

What im getting from alot of the posts (obviously not all) who are damning it has little to do with the game itself.

Its been spoken about lockups and glitches that are said to be no better no worse than F3 was on launch. I ran Fallout 3 on launch day on my rig without the slightest hint of a bug. So What I hear in that is people who either have an inferior rig to run the game and trying to eek by on required specs Or people who are doing less than a stellar job of managing their systems resources. Beyond all that.. the games release age is still measured in hours. With a game with that much content theres bound to be a few minor bugs here and there. Thankfully weve got this new fangled thing called the internet that allows the developer to offer up patches and fixes.

OT: And in the odd case of the glitches being in the console.. Im really thinking that your console might be on the verge of a break down if thats whats happening.

Its been said its the same thing as fallout 3. What im hearing is.. They didnt "improve" the game by getting rid of all the RPG elements and make it a shooter, or vice versa. Fact is, the content will clock in at about 30-40 hours, which is by any measure more than enough to justify MSRP.

So my point? People like saber rattling. If your familiar with fallout 3 and liked it, there is a good chance you will like New vegas. I think it will be a worthy addition to the franchise.

I love it.

Currently trying to help the Nightkin under the REPCON Test Site.

I'm doing that at the moment too!
OT: It's a great game, that improves on fallout 3 in most area's, and I have had only one freeze at the very beginning and since then it has been running great on highest settings on my mid range rig. People are just blowing things out of proportion, it's no worse than Fallout 3 was (infact it works better on my pc, but that's probably just luck), just give them a week or so to patch, and everything will be fine and dandy

Fun game, figured it might have launch day problems so I rented, but I've easily logged in ten hours or so, just picked up Boone who has made every fight so far a cake walk. Specced up a Int/Sci/Rep character who is now overflowing with skill points.

If your PC is up to the task, you can save yourself 10 bucks, and use a mouse and keyboard.

I'm loving the new Post-apocalyptic experience. Though I miss the less explored, heavily bombed, city feel of FO3, the story and changes more than make up for it. Finished Helios One last night, in the middle of Vault 22 today, and after than I need to finished the REPCON quests. I chose to clear out the Nightkin, but I didn't know they weren't evil. :3

Easily one of the better games I've played all year.
