It's Fallout: Equestria. Longer than The Lord of the Rings, it has effectively spawned its own sub-fandom by combining the eponymous Fallout series with the runaway hit cartoon show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
The strange thing is --- it actually works, too. Scarily so. This is not a pony tale you want the little ones to read; it is graphic, dark and brutal where appropriate to the theme, often more so than the original Fallout itself.
In fact, it works so well that there are now dozens of spin-off fanfics, some of which have garnered over 200,000 unique chapter reads --- good enough to earn a serious contract with just about any real-world publisher, barring the inevitable Bethesda/Hasbro cease-and-desist.
Beyond the fanfics, fan art, and tribute YouTube videos (full disclosure: here's mine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rRnBkGHc_U ), there are even mods for the actual games based on the story such as the revolver Li'l Macintosh ( http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=43934 )and the Zebra Carbine ( http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=16184 ).
The only reason at this point no one's done a full-mod conversion of Fallout to My Little Pony, it seems, is because of the insane amount of modeling and animation work it would take to put the game's protagonist on four legs. Count your lucky rainbows...
EDIT: That has not apparently stopped anyone from recreating the story's main characters in Garry's Mod, however ( http://d4shth3r4inb0w.deviantart.com/art/Fallout-Equestria-Model-Pack-271048194 ).
