If you could have a Fallout game be set in any country OTHER THAN AMERICA, which would it be?

Australia and India would be great just because of the sheer diversity of terrain and environments.

Somewhere like Greenland or the poles would be cool, the winter environment adds a new survival element...talking about winter Russia would probably be pretty cool too, China is also logical as they were another main part of the war

I never thought about israel that would be very interesting cuz it could even ad a bit of a holy wars aspect to the game. Maybe two civilizations not getting along based on religion and youcan either bring peace for good karma or choose sides for negative karma.

Japan could be cool, I don't know what it's like in the Fallout universe, but stomping around a post-apocalyptic Tokyo could be awesome.

how about a fallout game in las vegas? it would be such a great idea, and they could call it something like 'new vegas'.

YEAH! And we could have a main character who was raised in a vault. Maybe called something The Vault Dweller. No, who would want to be called a vault dweller. How about The Chosen One, or maybe The Lone Wanderer! YEAH!!!!!

Two civilizations not getting along in the middle east? Mindblowing.

Anyway, yeah, I guess, except in Israel it's not been a religious war, its more of a territorial one.

But the cool thing would be large bands of soldier guarded groups (as almost everyone in Israel serves in the military, and our soldiers are acknowledged as the best--mercenary groups pay twice for Israeli soldiers. If only there weren't so few of us.) And weapons are everywhere here. Make a nice change, an apocalypse in a region where people could reasonably be expected to deal with it.

Or, yknow, die. Either way.

Another cool thing is that Israel, now a green and fertile land, is only so because of decades, almost a century, of heavy terraformation and working the land. Would be very chilling to see all of that destroyed, the land returned to the wasteland it was, but worse.

Considering all of the fauna down under, yeah...those will be some badass mutants. Just picture a killer koala...

I agree, particularly with the Paris suggestion.

What makes Fallout 3's DC Wasteland so effective is that the U.S. capital is full of places and monuments that are both physically impressive and symbolically powerful, so that seeing them war-torn and destroyed has an inevitable emotional effect.

Paris, with its Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomph, turned into a desolate nuclear wasteland, would be a really affecting setting for a Fallout game and provide the kind of wonderful little gameplay moments that Fallout 3's DC brought to the table.

Australia makes the MOST sense I'd say, given the influence of Mad Max and all. Though, when considering Australia, my obviously incorrect mental image alternates between Crocadile Dundee sort of backwoods hell-holes or long expanses of raider infested highway. And those city's I see in all the postcards are somewhere in there as well.
