I know its early to be considering this, but i decided to get it in before the "Christmas Thread Rush" comes into force as it did last year.
Yesterday I had Sunday's dinner with my nana and grandad and my fiance. This Christmas will be exactly the same as Yesterday, only it will be my Auntie instead of my fiance and possibly my uncle. Trouble is, my uncle hates my auntie and last year didnt want to come up for Christmas. Now that my mum and his brother have died, what will we do this year... Suddenly Christmas doesnt mean family anymore for THIS family. All they do is argue, or my nana cries because her Alzheimer's causes her to forget everything and it becomes one big mess. My cousins have their own family, and one in particular pretends we dont exist because he thinks he's better then us. I want us to be happy. This will be my first Christmas without my mum and if it ends up with an argument or them getting angry or annoyed, its going to make my day a lot harder then i want it to be....
Anyway, maybe you have a broken family, or can relate to what im saying and could share how you cope because right now, i feel like i might as well break down and not even bother at all. =(
