Grand Theft Auto, its not really to do with the game (which is pretty good) its just the controls are so absolutely shit i cant bare it, see also Red Dead Redemption
I liked Assassins Creed and Ass-Creed 2 but when they started rolling out AC-2.4 and AC-2.8 I just lost interest. The same can be said of Kingdom Hearts, where I loved the first game but I couldn't play the second and it seems like every other game was a spin-off or, side-story.Ctmnt08 said:I'll list 2 of my uninteresting franchises here: 1) Assassin's Creed. The first game was repetitive to such a degree that I haven't been able to get excited for an AC release since.
That's exactly my problem with the series (at least since it's gone 3D). I've tried both the console versions and on the PC, and whether I use a controller or a keyboard and mouse, I can't find any way to play any of them that doesn't feel wrong to me and just can't get into them no matter how many times I've tried when people have convinced me to give them another chance.spartandude said:Grand Theft Auto, its not really to do with the game (which is pretty good) its just the controls are so absolutely shit i cant bare it
Though your sidenote threw me off, I have to agree with the first four titles. Though part of what I do like about Resident Evil (through 4) is the horrible, almost blasphemous when you consider how much those people get paid, writing. It's kind of like that cheesy, horrible 60's Horror or Sci-Fi movie that's so bad it's awesome.sammysoso said:Valve games: According to the internet Valve is the greatest thing in gaming, but I just don't see it. Not to say that they make bad games, just nothing spectacular.
Assassin's Creed: It's weird, because I want to like it, but I never feel all that engaged when I play the games.
Grand Theft Auto: See Assassin's Creed.
Zelda: Again, see Assassin's Creed.
Resident Evil: Horrendous, horrendous writing.
Metal Gear Solid: Bonkers story with overly convoluted plots.
Sidenote: I see a lot of folks aren't big on the major shooters/action games (Halo, Gears, Uncharted, COD, Battlefield). Funnily enough, those are some of my favorite games.
The only Prime title thats any good is the first one. Otherwise, play Super Metroid for the SNES (or get a rom, very playable with a keyboard). One of the best games on that console, hands down.hazabaza1 said:Metroid, I guess. Played a bit of Prime 3, and while I enjoyed it, I got stuck on something and never bothered to try to get even further.
