I know this has been done before, but if my memory serves me, it was a while ago.
[small]forgive me if it's been done recently, i tried to search, nothing except the older threads came up. IN B4 SEARCH BAR.[/small]

Do tell! Who was the last "famous" person you met? Where, when and how did you get to meet them? Was it at a signing, at an event, or just randomly in the street? Show pictures if you've got them!
(They don't have to be Britney Spears or Lady Gaga kinda famous, just famous enough for you to be proud to have met them.)

The last famous person I met was Chad Gilbert from New Found Glory. Me and my friends met him yesterday at Slam Dunk Scotland because we decided to take a shortcut to the venue, and we ran into him. We weren't sure if it was him from a distance, but when he got closer, he asked for directions to the nearest shop so he could get something to eat, at which point we realised it was Chad and got pictures.

One time I met Liam Neeson. We planted C4 charges all around this skyscraper, and people chased us up the stairs shooting at us, but we blocked the bullets with our lightsabers. Then when we got on the top, we jumped off and blew the charges. It was glorious.

Then I woke up.

I went to art school with one guy in a fairly popular band, got to hear the first tracks they were creating for their new band and hung out with the guys when they practiced, raced rc cars on the weekends with him and generally had a good time, he was almost like a brother to me, gave me his phone # on a napkin when we were leaving school etc and of course i lost it.

Great guy and his best friend was cool as heck too bad his friend got mixed up in bad stuff and they had to boot him out of the band as they were making it big time. He was a hell of a drummer to.

Do not like name dropping tho.

Several years ago, me, my mom, and my cousin went to Universal Studios in L.A. on Mother's Day. We were standing in line at some food stand, then my cousin started tapping me on the shoulder and pointed to the person in front of us...It was Kanye West. Then I wispered to my mom, "Oh my god, it's Kanye West." My mom, not knowing who he was, but assuming him to be someone famous asked out loud, "Are you Kanye West?" She pronounced it "Kon-way West." (I Facepalmed) and asked if we could get a picture with him. He politely declined to getting a picture taken and said that he was there that day with his mother (who was still alive at the time) and didn't want a huge crowd after him. So yep, there ya go.

I haven't met anyone famous yet. Just a couple players on our Women's National Hockey team, but nobody would be able to pick them out on the street, and I don't consider them famous.

I met Julian Glover at a Star Wars convention. Gave me his autograph. Oh, and I met Wubbo Ockels and André Kuipers (Dutch astronauts) quite recently at my university.

The only famous person I can possibly remember meeting was the author of the Book "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief". That was roughly back in 2006 or 07 and how I learned the movie was even in production.

Other then that, I have never met anyone of notoriety. I got a baseball with a bunch of signatures from the Providence Red Sox, but honestly, I don't think any of them still play for that team.
