Fan Fiction Recommendation

Fan fiction.

Most are utter crap, but some are truly worth reading. This thread is for those that are worth reading.

I have one that I highly recommend: Shinji and Warhammer40k.

The title may be lacking, but the story isn't.

The grammar may annoy a grammar nazi, but it's still pretty good. Where the story shines, is in its insanity, and badassery.

The main character is Shinji Ikari, from Neon Genesis Evangelion, but he is much different. Mainly, he's a badass.

Hold your cries of heresy, and I shall explain how the largest wimp in Anime could become a badass.

A case of Warhammer 40k models and codexes.

Now, my recommendation is done, feel free to recommend fan fiction, and do a short review if you feel like it.

One last thing, though. I know advertising is against the rules, but I wasn't sure if this counts as advertising. If it does, just lock it and accept my apologies.

It's an epic HP fanfic that will weave a subtle tale full of nuance and splendor. Don't check this out if you're not a fan of the more masterful literature, this one is for real coinasseurs only.

I think I saw a story similar to that but for Naruto fanfiction, I can't remember the link though. If I remember I'll edit.

My Immortal was one of a kind though. I'll never forget it no matter how hard I try

As for recommendations, I can't really help, I read to much and not many strike me as recommendable.

Oh, and props on the story Mastersqueak, though I was hoping for something that was actually in the 40K universe, rather than based around it. Still, it's nice to see that 40K is appreciated.

Cxzint...I don't know if that was your work, or someone elses, but it was a pretty poor starter 'My Immortal'. Maybe I don't care for vampires and the like, but whoever wrote that needs to evolve their writing style a bit.

it doesn't seem gory enough for me. not enough suffering.
does it get better?
although it is well writen. and it's more realistic than shinji actually kicking-ass for the Emperor.
I was mortified when I read that the case contained Chaos Marines though.

Its a Harry Potter one, but is the exact opposite of that other fanfic. Simply put, an older Harry,(having defeated Voldemort, but everyone dies) sends his spirit back in time to his first year at Hogwarts (killing himself in the process) to try and make things better.

It is surprisingly well written, but it was started before the release of the seventh book so some things don't match canon.

There's a fair bit of gore in it, and things are taken quite seriously, giving the events of the first few books that dark edge that only the last three books had.

Unfortunately, seems a bit dead at the moment, no update since October last year.
