The question of the thread: What sequels to games feel like a badly-written internet fan-fiction? Like it was written by the last game-maker's teenage daughter and her friends and pitched out into the market for extra cash. How so? Is this a good thing or a bad thing to you for this particular game?
A brief example: Say a game was made that was so-so. You enjoyed it and did not feel like your money had been a waste. Then this sequel comes out and, most certainly, you buy it. All the sequel contains are the female characters (or lookalikes thereof) from the first, but set up as their own rock band! So they go on an adventure in skimpy, unrealistic clothing and most of the game consists of running from place to place to fight one monster, then being forced to watch a cut scene where they play their badly sung music.
Or another example: Good game, sequel is fine with the exception that it was written by kids with no talent whatsoever. So every word coming from a character's mouth constantly breaks character or consists of inappropriate smiley text faces. Overall the sequel looks far too unprofessional to be an actual game.
A third example: The sequel to the Star Wars Trilogy.
Feel free to give spoilers, so long as you're spoiling a game that you're certain no one would enjoy buying.
