Damn I really miss those old RE's. 4 and 5 was just crap imo. Good old fashion slow zombies in a horror game > olympic athlete zombies in an action game.

How come he gets news, but while I'm slaving over a hot modding program, rewriting scripts and designing my own character models for the Infected, I get nothing but spurned?? I'm making a lot of things for Left 4 Dead, and Fallout 3, and yet I see no recognition!

Looks pretty good!

The mod community hasn't really pushed out much for L4D, but then again the mod tools haven't been active for that long.

If you enter a certain command in the console you can go into third a person (like gears of war gameplay) look and just play. I don't remember the command because actually playing with that thing is hell...
Ahhh, cheers thanks!

Fan made maps always have some sort of "shitty" feeling to them.
always is more than a bit harsh. while most fan made maps do suck the fact is though that there are some damn good ones out there. for example, some of the most popular counterstrike maps were made by fans and NOT the orginal creators of cs. same goes for unreal tournament and 2k4, quake 1-3, doom, etc. to say that this is going to be shitty is asanine for the simple fact that you, nor anyone, has played it yet. for all you know it could turn out to be the de_dust2 of left 4 dead.

The funny thing here is that even when the framerates "drop dramatically" they're still twice as good as the framerate I got.

I do believe the modding society has started to slack lately. Either that or 3D games are just harder to make custom content for.

I dread to think how long it took the poor fellow who designed a Splinter Cell Chaos Theory map version of the Shadow Moses facility from Metal Gear Solid.

That sounds crazy awesome. Heh, I guess we won't have to worry about bad dialogue though, since Valve hasn't seen fit to grace us with that much corny dialogue in L4D.

Clearly you haven't seen the community maps that get selected as official TF2 additions to the map rotation in Valve's updates.

Anyway I thought this was impossible! After all, weren't all the boycotters complaining about there not being an SDK for L4D?

Oh wait, there was one all along, wasn't there. *evil laughter*

Anyway, the reason this isn't a mod is because it's a campaign, which is essentially a bunch of levels grouped together. Sure there may be new art assets which would technically make it a mod, but I think since the developer is only making levels and not reskinning zombies and so forth it makes it "not a mod" to him.

It brings back memories, it would be awesome if Nemesis was in there in some way.
There's a mod that you can download that makes the Tank look like Nemesis. It's pretty sweet.

The playable characters for this mod should be Jill and the Umbrella Mercs (Carlos, Nikolai, etc).

Most of those suck. I'll give fastlane credit but the rest don't have the same "feel" as the other maps.
