I was going through a few Lunasa-edited Touhou songs, and it made me think of something.

ZUN, Touhou's creator, asked people who were fans of the Touhou series to not reveal what happened after you beat Imperishable Night on Lunatic mode. (And trust me, if you aren't a fan of the series, you will not beat any Touhou game on Lunatic mode [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43E2laRy9o8] )

The thing is...they listened. It isn't as though the Touhou fanbase is tiny and insignificant...it's actually rather large, and not a single person spoiled it.

Basically the question is...could you keep a secret if your favorite company asked you to? Do you think that every other hardcore fan would?

Edit: Maybe it wasn't Imperishable Night...eh...my memory isn't as good as it used to be. If I remember, I'll fix the name.

Absolutely. If they want me to keep a secret for them so I can show some loyalty, I'd love to do so. Unless of course, the game in question built inside me an impressive bonfire of hate, though that is highly unlikely since I like most games.

Yes, I would, because if I'm a fan of something it's specifically because I care about the franchise. For example, I'm a Halo fanboy, I admit it. If Bungie or 343 turned round to the fanbase and said "Please, don't tell anyone what happens when you beat Halo 4 or whatever on Mythic", then I would keep that secret. Though admittedly, though I'm certainly good at the game, I doubt I'd be able to beat it on Mythic... :p

For those who don't know, Mythic is when you play on Legendary mode AND have all the skulls turned on. It's also known as LASO. And is meant to be the ultimate test of skill in Halo, since it's damn near impossible for most players to achieve. Think about it. No HUD, no crosshair, no ammo counter, no radar...
