Fanboys and PC Elitism

I used to play minecraft alot on my home pc and then a bit more on my Fiancee's laptop (but in much lower settings). I'v recently gotten a laptop thats actually capable of playing "proper games" but before this i'v always had consoles, why? well its just easier and more accessible really. It has its downfalls too, dont get me wrong, sims on xbox to pc is no comp, i had both and my sister refused to play on pc, she hated the mouse, now she owns them all on pc.

I love my new laptop and since having it i'v repurchased quite a few games i already have on console because, yes the graphics are much improved but yaknow what? I have a wired 360 controller for alot of games too. No PS3 yet but maybe later in the year, its more PS3 Fanboys that put me off buying one XD I always said "I'll buy a Wii before i hand money to sony" and I did...

TLDR Version: We are all gamers, we need to repect each other no matter the format, from n00b to 1337. Games deserve to be played, to be enjoyed and treasured. Minecraft should be enjoyed by all

P.S. I have it on PC but i'd gladly get it on 360 and mobile XD

Does it make me an "elitist" if say I too think this is a bad idea. I'm not against Minecraft on the Xbox. I'm just against Mojang undertaking this unquestionably huge project NOW and snuffing out ALL hopes of Minecraft ever being properly "released". I don't know if that matters to people, but it peeves me. Minecraft (for the PC) DESERVES to be launched. It shouldn't be a buggy Beta for it's entire lifetime. It DESERVES better.

Cant we just put up our hands in gaming harmony? i mean we all have the same passion, playing sweet video games should whether the fact we play pc or console really come in between everyone? i mean if this shit keeps going on it'll end up being some sort of West Side Story gamer edition, but instead of Jets vs sharks itll be PC gamers vs console gamers, and i really dont want to picture a bunch a geeks dancing it out to the Mambo. so i say dont be so harsh on everyone, minecraft is supposed to be for everyone. FFS, could we just all agree that whatever platform you play on makes you 20% cooler than the rest(including noble peace price winners who deserve it) and be done with it.

That's true but he did say a separate team is working on the 360 version if I remember correctly.

It's not elitism, they're just fanboys. Back when Final Fantasy XIII was announced for Xbox 360 of Mass Effect 2 for PS3, console fans were furious, started calling people names and simply did not think fans of another console deserved the same enjoyment. It's pathetic but it's not exclusive to PC gamers.

So Mojang has more than, like, FOUR people working for it now? Cause otherwise, is "the ONE new guy who has experience developing for XBL" really a team?

Maybe it's going to be an internal thing? Maybe MS has a team of 506 people working on it, and they (ingeniously, may I add) plan to keep that under wraps because they know it will lost them every single PC player's "double" sale?

Im not one of those guys. I dont think Xbox users will ruin jack. The reason why im slightly angry is because Console gamers get so many games that we dont... So you can see how i would like that youd give something back.

It is the nature of the systems though, games consoles are exactly that, for games, PC has so many other uses. Its like an Xbox user complaining that they don't have a word processing application. The true winner will soon be the Smart Phone user anyway they already have a lot of the benefits from consoles and PCs.

On topic I think those who are crying out against this should be happy. More money for Mojang means a better minecraft.
