I found a nice article [http://www.destructoid.com/why-fanboys-are-better-than-you-125796.phtml#ext] over at Destructoid about how fanboys actually help the world. It's a funny article that sheds fanboys in a different light. I for one was surprised. Turns out not only clouds have silver linings.

I hope that's as satirical as it struck me being. Please.. be satire. I don't think I can avoid raging at it otherwise.

Yes, yes it was satirical. So you can go on and put that shotgun down. The Zombie Apocalypse isn't coming (yet).

Satire requires a sense of palpable irony...

There was none to be found.

So the author was either RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEG-inducing serious, or failing at satire altogether.

Are you kidding? Of course that was satire. Or at least, I don't think there's anyone on the face of the earth who could write an article like that with a straight face.

Well done satire, except he said that it must always be a shooter, when the greatest of the fanboys are the Pokemaniacs. Also he ignored fangirls and the vast library of slash fiction they contributed and still add to.

I'd say the same thing about the Vegan Halo thread. And yet...

I loved that thread, it was grade A satire. I don't see why so many people raged on it

If the fanboy can flame his own love (mine would be games themselves and the crap fest of modern design has become) then ya all that hyperbole ranting the industry has to shut them up soemone....*rolls eyes*

Odd. Whenever someone tries to categorise fanboys, I ussually do not fall in line with what they're describing.
That's because you're not a stereotypical fanboy. You're an elitist. With Pancakes.
