Wow, five pages and nothing about the Kingdom Hearts fan-base?

Here's the gist of it then; look on google images with safe-search off and type in any of the male character's names, you will see a shit ton of gay/yaoi fan art. I try to not take offense to it seeing as I have no problem with two girls getting it on, but there's just so fucking much of the stuff out there.

And let's not start with all of the shipping. Oh, for the love of God, please, I don't want to know why Roxas and Axel make a better couple than Xemnas and Saix. I also don't care to know why Kairi, Namine', or any of the other female characters are bad choices for any of the male leads and why they should die for your ship.

You should see some of the Evangelion fans. To them, there will never be an anime as godly as Evan-freaking-gelion! I think it's an amazing anime, but come on already. There are other anime shows just as good.
To be honest, I still have seen only one anime that was better than Evangelion. I am, of course, referring to Elfen Lied, the most brilliant, horrifying, cute, heads-exploding-in-fountains-of-blood, tits-in-every-episode, seven-seasons-of-Buffy-caliber-goodness-boiled-down-to-4-hours-of-batshit-crazy show ever. Everything else just didn't measure up to Eva.

What annoys me most about the Evangelion fandom is the reverence that some of the more "elite" fans have for the Red Cross Book, and their insistence on citing it for all sorts of bullshit that has absolutely no basis in canon. Example:

"Rei is a clone of Yui."

"Oh? What's your evidence?"

"They have vaguely similar haircuts and Megumi voices both of them."

"That's pretty fucking weak evidence. I suppose Pen-Pen is a clone of Yui too, seeing as how Megumi also did the voice of Pen-Pen?"

"Ummm... uh... THE RED CROSS BOOK!"

"Who wrote the Red Cross Book? What involvement did they have in the show's creation? Did they even have access to any of the production materials? Okay, it was 'approved' by certain people at Gainax, but who were these people? For all we know, it was approved by the janitor who cleaned the Gainax bathrooms..."

"Mods, please ban this guy! He's trolling!"

Unfortunately, the retards who hold the RCB to be the word of God also happen to be mods/admins on all of the Evangelion-related forums, and their definition of "trolling" is rather broad, so these discussions don't last very long.
Never seen Evangellion but I have heard it was good. Can't really find it anywhere. But oh wow Elfen Lied that was a deep and yet absolutely horrifying show. The episode where I had to go do somthing else for a little while was the one where those kids beat the puppy to death and then all get promptly divided into many small pieces. Wow... Also I loved the whole "did we make them hate us or is it just the way they are thing." I sympathised with the charecters but at the same time saw why the orginaization would want to try to imprison and kill them since they are dangerous and if we learned anything from the scenes of Lucy as a child must constantly deal with the urge and compulsion to slaughter humans.

The Sherlock fandom.

I love the show, but the people who say they are 'Cumberbitches' and who try and ship John and Sherlock as a couple...no. That's too far. Their relationship is never sexual and never should be! Leave it at random comments towards each other and a bromance which is nothing beyond a friendship!

Bet the US version's casting of Lucy Liu as Watson will make them throw in a romantic subplot...

This is a brohoof /)(You do a close-bracket version in reply but it wasn't showing up properly here) and in real life it's just the same as a fstbump or a brofist, just with a pony related term attached.

'Clop' is a ponified version of 'fap', you 'clop' to pony related porn. Now, we bronies are a creative bunch - but a whooole lotta people create more than just music and PMVs.

That's right; there's Brony artists who dedicate themselves to rule 34 MLP.

Now, I've been storing up this rant for quite a while, so now it's time to unleash it.

A lot of uneducated people say 'Omg brony u r paedophile lololol' and you know what? They're right. The MLPs are designed to appeal to children, and just like most programmes their characters are designed to look the same-ish age as their target audience. Now I know the Mane Six are supposed to be in their late teens according to hints from the cast, but just look at them. Head bigger in comparison to their bodies. Eyes big in comparison to their head. No visible body hair (relating to clop pictures here) and no breasts or other signs of maturity.
They activate the parts of our brains that relate to children, and if you find that sexy then there's some damn bad news for you.

This is casually proven by how mad I and other get at people 'clopping' to ponies - their childlike appearance is invoking our protective instincts towards children - we want to protect them just as we would protect human children. Never in my life have I felt any hatred of rule 34 until I found out about clopping.

Even if you don't view ponies as animals and don't think of it as zoophilia they're still designed to look like and appeal to kids.

Now I'm not saying all bronies clop - I'm one myself and it's just a very small percentage of our fandom that does it, and if you like clop it doesn't mean you that you have any desire to actually molest a child. It's just that this whole sexualised ponies thing feels so goddamn wrong that I can't even love and tolerate it.

So please cloppers, for the love of God/Buddha/Pan/Science/His Great and Holy Noodleyness, either fap to humanised clop where they're portrayed as adult men/women or keep it where the internet can't find it and judge the rest of us along with you.
Clopper here, you're full of shit.

In short, anime has been using the same methods that MLP is using right now to appeal to guys that are attracted to 'cuteness.' The same kind of guys (like me) that would be attracted to a 'cute, down-to-earth, not-hot-but-just-really-cute' girl are more likely to be attracted to these ponies.

Full explanation here:

Alternate link if the first doesn't work: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2djrr6a&s=6

When I see Fluttershy, I don't see this (damn this was a hard example pic to find):

I see this:

and this:

If you can't see the difference...then I weep for humanity. You might as well call all R-34 fans of anime pedophiles or something just because they have a different definition of cute than you do.

Edit: And for clarification, half of my attraction to freaking ponies comes from their personalities and not from looks alone. I could only clop to characters that I like. I can't believe that I'm admitting this, even if it is through one of my internet personas. Welp, someone has to defend it here I guess.

What the hell is a Mega Drive? I only remember the flagship Master System, Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast; the hand-held Game Gear and Nomad; and the 32x and Sega CD, which were add-on modules to the Genesis.

Just in case you are serious the Genesis is just the North American version of the Mega Drive, it was called the Mega Drive everywhere except North America.

I am disappoint, Hugh the Hedgehog does not have any results. Even with safe-search off

I'm sort of amazed how well behaved the Godzilla fandom is, or what's left of it. Aside from some of that god-awful "Neo-monster" artwork, it seems pretty docile.

As for the Bronies, what I don't like about them is how self righteous they are.

Any fan who is stubborn and for example says stuff like "You haven't played it so you can't judge it hurrrr, you don't know if it sucks!"

Except we have dozens of gameplay videos, reports by people who actually played... etc.
The worst case of this that I've seen was on the Skyrim forums.

The people who are hating on "weeaboos", have any of you actually been to Japan? It's pretty sweet.

Alcohol is cheap and easily accessible. Cheap and good food is always readily available. Countless women with beautiful legs. Women who really know how to dress. Old systems and games barely cost you 10 dollars. Hardly any theft, very little street-violence (even less for whiteys) and let's not forget how unbelievably service-minded they all are.

I've spent a semester at a Japanese university, and a few months travelling alone (and then with friends), and while my love for what initially pulled me to the country (anime/manga), my love for the place has multiplied.

There's some underlying racism here and there, but this place has to be pretty close to heaven as far as I'm concerned and I could never fault anyone for wanting to live there over the nation of burgers or wherever.

I don't have any particular dislike for any fandom really, unless they try to push it on you to the point when a simple "I'm sorry, I've played/seen/read this, and I'm simply not that enthused about it" won't get them to shut up. If they don't incessantly bother me about it (which from what I've seen is a very rare thing among most of these fandoms, I don't really see a lot of them outside of their respective forums and message boards) then I have no quarrel with them.

In my opinion, insulting someone for enjoying something a lot just because you don't understand their fandom, makes you look like an arse hole...
This guy has the right idea!

If anything it would be great to tap into some of that love people show their favourite series.
Dude,Japan is a great country, but it isn't a total paradise, especially if you're female or have mental health issues.Psychological problems are treated with great shame. They have ONE,count 'em ONE psychiatrist-an Australian- in the whole country. There are 1000s of teen boys who lock themselves in their rooms after breakdowns over academic pressure and their families pretend they're away. When the Princess went into deep clinical depression, they went to great lengths to cover it up.Women still suffer from discrimination for being single or childless(the PM recently ranted that single women were a burden on the country) and when the Princess gave birth to a girl, the courtiers urged the prince to divorce her.She was criticized in the Japanese press for saying 17 more words than her husband in their first press conference.Have you heard those fucked up female baby voices they use for store elevators? A deeper female voice is considered unattractive.I love the place, but they are still fucked up when it comes to women and mental health. As the other poster said, all countries have their problems.

Dr Who fans. They are hypercritical of everything.I'll watch the show and think,"Oh,I enjoyed that!" and go onto the DW forums where there's always a bunch of negative asshats who give EVERY episode 0/10 0n principle.Fair enough, the quality of the show varies wildly, but if you hate it THAT much to diss EVERY ep,why watch it?

Wow, I'm surprised no-one has said this yet, but...

Motherfucking Classic Fallout fans.
They just absolutely shun with an intense hatred, anything that is not the original game. A good portion of them don't even like Fallout 2, even though the games both look and act the same! Why? Because those fans don't like the fact that there are so many Easter Eggs in it. You would not believe the revile those people have for Fallout: Tactics and Fallout 3.

As once brilliantly stated, "Over the years, the Fallout community has been gradually distilled and refined into glittering gems of hatred.".
Really? I've never heard that. I loved the original. I loved the sequel. I've loved the new ones. The only one no one is allowed to like is the god-awful Brotherhood of Steel for the consoles. As long as you don't bring that abomination to the party, when the world ends, you can come hang out in my vault, bro.

There's a large chunk of Kingdom Hearts fans that are still whining about not having Kingdom Hearts III yet. They act like just because the game isn't a numbered title, it's a spinoff and that kinda irks me.

Also the anime-fan overlap where they do character pairing and firmly believe in their pairing. That's just weird.

I despise the fanbase of League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth. God i hate them, i hate all of them, and HoN's fanbase has only gotten worse since the heroes all became free.
I also hate hardcore mass effect fans, because they will never, ever, ever shut up about the ending of Mass effect 3, hell after hearing all the complaints, i was dissapointed when i got to it because i thought it would be much worse.
Also, a fanbase that I hate but aren't fans of something i like would be Elder Scrolls fanboys, no scratch that, Bethesda fanboys. Mainly elder scrolls and Fallout 3 fanboys. Here is a game, go on any skyrim, oblivion, or fallout 3 review that praises the game, make a post pointing out flaws with well constructed argument,(examples include: Bad combat, dumbed down mechanics, boring story, generic quests e.t.c) and count how many responses have obvious hate directed towards you. For bonus points, reply to some of them, and count how many replies ignore half the things stated in your response, or just say that other features you haven't talked about are great, or just classically attack you with fanboy rage, insisting they are the greatest games of all time.
