Okay, so basically, I'm trying to write a fanfiction that is centralized around video games, and so far, things have been fairly smoothly. However, I feel I need to throw in one more video game into the mix to make the whole thing complete. Sadly, while I do have a good amount of games, most of them don't fit the critiria I had in mind.
This is where I need everyone's help. I need a video game that can fit the following critiria:
One: No Call of Duty or Battlefield, or games along those same lines.
Two: No Halo or Gears of War, or any games along these same lines. I'd say "No shooters in general," but I don't want to limit myself too much. There may yet be shooter that does fit my critiria.
Three: No games with silent protagonists.
Four: No games with main characters you design yourself.
Five: The main game must have a great story (I know that's an opinion thing, but I like to think I'm open minded). Good gameplay isn't really required, but it would certainly help. Multiplayer/Co-Op doesn't matter.
Six: Games with sequals are okay.
Seven: No Shin Megami Tensei, Final Fantasy, or .hack games.
Eight: No party games, such as Mario Kart or Smash Bros.
Nine: It'd help my story greatly if the game in question, or (preferably) one of its sequals, had an element of time travel.
And those are my conditions thus far. Now you see why I feel the need to pick the brains of the gamer community at large. So...any suggestions?
