I love me some fan-fiction, but only the hilariously awful stuff, like Half Life: Full Life Consequences, anything by this guy [http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1730364/Hans_von_Hozel], or Cloud Mows the Lawn (cracking up throughout the entire thing. Seriously, go check it out, it is hilarious. Not for the faint of heart, but still hilarious).

Don't write the stuff though. I have thought at trying my hand at some troll-fic, but never got around to it.

I for one like writing full novelizations of games, which was, I hope, well recieved, at least 99% of the reviews were positive. (I count those saying they hated me because of what just happened in the last chapter as positive... )

Then the two most popular were the Mass effect 1 and 2 where the later got over 700 reviews! (I credit talimancers...though don't let that scare you off! It's not narrowly focused when it comes to characters! At all! )

I think part of what got those above going in terms of popularity was that there was always a conflict or tension of some sort going, mix that with modifications to the plot to make it smoother when written and the fact that no character was immortal and could actually die played a part, I believe.
I'm not excellent by any means, but I think those that keep reading enjoy it all the way through, which is what it's all about.

Nope, no GW. I simply am quite good with words. I know it's hard to believe, but i am a little better when using my own language.

I also do Fanfiction writing. Again, mostly WH40K stuff. Currently, I'm part of a trio who are adapting the Dawn of War series from Dark Crusade through to Retribution into written form. Lots of OCs, and lots of death. Guy called Darkeldar [http://www.fanfiction.net/u/2024278/darkeldar] is doing the main plotline, while my story [http://www.fanfiction.net/u/3253935/Arcsquad12] covers the fallout from the Kaurava disaster. Out of curiosity : have you ever tried to walk some less known paths ?
I mean, in my humble opinion, WH40k is a little too rusty, too fossilized at it's core. Space Mahreens won't do that, Emprah is like that, Da Orkz aren't supposed to do otherwise and sh*t. How about completely unorthodox stories. For example : Space Marine Robinson Crusoe-style ? Or "strange bedfellows" scenario ? Regiment of Orc Paladins shouting "For the Emprah" while charging at Eldar base ?

I used to write fanfiction, but not anymore since I got really busy and I don't have the time for it anymore.

I do read the stuff all the time, especially if it's any good. I will say though, bad fanfiction, which is sadly most of it, can be entertaining as hell to read.

Note, I haven't updated these ones in a while. Lots of ideas, but they haven't been around as long as the Kauravan story. I've got another update coming for the Guard story soon, but the Sidro Harrah story might take some time.

I actually started out my writing hobby with fanfiction, and moved on to original stuff from there, but I still go back to fanfiction every once in a while. There's just something so fun about getting into other people's heads and figuring out how they operate.

Mostly, I write a lot of Zelda and Warcraft fanfiction.

I've only read some MLP/Dr. Who fan fiction (12 and Travelers). Nothing really special, and writing it myself always seems to backfire.

The last time I actually put something decent up was....five or six years ago.

I think it's ok and I got some reviews so it's not the worst thing ever, but there are a lot of better writers in the world than me. They have the gift to put exactly what needs to be said on paper.

I read a ton. It goes from fandom to fandom, but I will forever be on a fanfic site...because I read almost anything.
