I know summer is a long way off, but it's the time of year when you start checking out the various music festivals and lineups start being announced. (I'm thinking Sonisphere for me this year http://uk.sonispherefestivals.com/line-up/).
So this got me thinking what would be my dream festival, rather than just list my favourite bands I thought about which artists would compliment each other and the sort of target audience it would attract.
So post your idea of a great festival, two days, each with a headliner and a couple of support acts, here's mine, might add some more minor acts later.
Day 1.
Headliner: The Levellers
Flogging Molly
3 Daft Monkeys
Day 2.
Headliner: The Pogues
Dropkick Murphys
Frank Turner
I've gone for a bit of folk-rock vibe, most of these have toured together in some combination and there's a bit of a distinction between the crusty folk of day 1 and the more punky day 2.
