After having installed the Steam version of the game, I was prompted by a dialog box to update my graphics drivers. I ignored this the first time, and started a new game. Once the very first loading screen was in place, the game crashed after a little while. I then updated the graphics drivers as suggested, but the problem persists no matter what graphics settings or even which character I choose. It always reaches roughly the same loading point then crashes to desktop - no error message, just a straight crash. What can I do to resolve this? Any ideas?

Much appreciated

:Edit: Just noticed in the fine print that the game supports; Nvidia GeForce 6800 / 7 / 8 / 9 series, GeForce 8800M / 8700M. I have a GeForce 8800GTX, could that be it?

Didn't you already make a thread about this?

Anyway I'd scour around the internet for Far Cry 2 patches, they can work surprisingly well. They have done for me in the past.
Best of luck.

Nah - I made a point that it took a while to download....
Coulda edited that, come to think of it. Sorry.

Anyways, I believe that Steam automatically gives the latest version, but I'll check anyways. Thanks
