Far cry 2 Pc install trouble

Hello, I was looking through my game collection, and decided to re-install and Play far cry 2. SThe install program had other ideas it seems. When the launcher opened it said "do you want to uninstall far cry 2?" However, it does not exsist anywhere... If anyone knows how to fix this, please post!

Googling the internet, it seems like it leaves trash behind, and some people use a third party tool to remove the remnants that make it believe it was installed. One person recommended http://revo-uninstaller.en.softonic.com/
