I was just playing through the mission where you defend the guy as he's fixing his helicopter and at the end he says he's joining Task Force 141 and going to Russia. This is an obvious reference to the Modern Warfare franchise and I thought it was kinda funny and rememberd the "Buck likes to fuck" line which was obviously a homage to Kill Bill.
So it got me paying more attention and as you explore the island, you can find all kinds of fun little shoutouts to other popular games and movies. There are tons of them I came across, one even relating to Assassins Creed.
And of course there's the Jurassic Park reference that was funny the first billion times and then just got old.
