Do I want to see Far Cry 3?

Considering what playing Far Cry 2 was like, no.

What would be my initial interest level in FC3?

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest? 1

What would you like to see in FC3 to have it improve on FC2?

A list would be good... i'll try to keep it short:

1. Boring Action

I never thought to myself "Gee this gunfight is *really* boring!" before. Stopping to fight a 2 man jeep crew like every 10-15 seconds got old really fast. I may be mistaken, but I must have killed at least 150 of the two man crews and i'm only 12% through the main plot (because i've done a 3-4 side missions.) Why are there only two men in the jeep? And why do I never fight people in any other kind of car? Why does everyone want to kill my character? Why can't I fire out of the side window of a car?

2. Reputation

I've already killed 300+ people through my Jeep massacres alone, and done 8-10 missions - yet my reputation just now hit level 1. I'm not sure if reputation factors in at all during the game, but it would be nice to see something other than "I'm just another hired gun... maybe I can shake things up a bit..." or whatever it says at level 0.

3. Buddies

It was a good idea, but poorly implemented. I talk with my one buddy Rashid? No Reuben. I barely know the guy's name because he hardly *ever* says anything, and when he does it's about doing a job for him. Most of his lines consist of: "Hey I left something under a tree, could you go and get it for me? It is of sentimental value." And then you get a "choice" of pressing Y to accept the quest (which is the same as the talk button), or just staring blankly at his face for several seconds wondering if he's going to say anything else about the mission to give you any idea as to where said tree is. In short, they shouldn't have bothered with this or developed the friends a bit more.

Also there was a second buddy at the bar; she was a "French" woman who didn't sound French at all and never said anything to me except, "Oh, hi! I didn't expect to see you here" in a thick American accent. The fact that she was there at all seemed like a slap in the face to me, as though there was some possibility of dialogue that never took place because I was Rashid's friend.

4. Diamond Hunting

So extremely boring!

5. Music & Enemies talking

In many of the musical scores there are people singing, hooting, etc. and sometimes even talking - and when you don't have the sound on full blast you can't tell whether or not there are people near you speaking. A few times I nearly walked into a group of three dudes sitting on the ground because I thought it was part of the music.

6. Headshots, and bullets in general don't do enough damage.

Enough said. People shouldn't take 3-4 headshots, or 6 hits from a machinegun and still keep going.

7. Less guard posts.

I get it... there's a war going on. However there should be less guard posts, or easier ways to avoid them without going around on foot.

Alright, i'm going to stop here because it's enough for them to improve on... and it isn't worth getting worked up about. Suffice it to say the game was horrible, I got to play it for free because one of my roommates has it for the 360 and I feel that the price was still way too high.
