So I just picked up my old copy of dissidia, started a new game, and remembered the horrible infinite farm fest that is Rosseta stones XD..anyways I was surfing the web today for information and somebody mentioned that you could battlegen them off of your friends in ad-hoc multiplayer, for people not familiar with the game, at a later point in depending on how you buy your catalog upgrades, you gain the ability to randomly spawn gear and accessories on your enemies when fighting them.

Anywho..the idea was to put one on as an accessory..or maybe 9. <.<...and then beat the living crap out of eachother until you both have enough to max out every characters bonus upgrades that require the damn things.

So I have a cousin who Im inviting over to do just this, and wanted to see if anyone else has attempted/confirmed/etc this method and has some advice. That being said, any advice on farming these things is well appreciated, along with any tips about anything related to end game Dissidia, since I hear its fairly advanced and I never took the time to do it on my first playthrough.

Also, feel free to turn this thread into an all things dissidia thread :p. as I can't remember a damn thing about this game so any form of dialogue will probly be fun and educational.

I farmed all my rosetta stones in duel Colosseum,, the higher level ones; you can pick up rosetta stones there rather quickly if your good enough. They cost 30 gold in the Colosseum so you gotta farm your gold like mad but I alway manage to pick up around 3-5 stones each session, I've never tried the method you described. Just go into Colosseum, have a black mage, thief (I think), and time mage (the one that gives you 5 luck) cards on you and your set. They are much rare in the lower level Colosseums, but as a comprise they give you the crafting materials for them.

You can also go through story mode and get them as each characters story has at least 2 stones you can nab via destiny points, chests, or sometimes enemy drops.

As for other end game stuff advice? well that depends on what you really wanna know. I will warm you though, Black Jack course in Colosseum has some nasty lvl 130-150 enemies where you gotta be damn well careful if you don't wanna 1 hit KO. Oh and if you though lvl 110 Chaos in Shade Impluse was bad, wait till you fight the monstrosity that is lvl 130-150 Chaos in those higher courses, he will hurt you...badly; even if you try to go the easy route and use EX-Death.

EDIT: And since we are talking about a fighting game, who does everyone main? and whats everyones favorite stages?

My mains are Golbez, Jecht, and EX-Death; these guys are made of pure win, and I love my Golbez (Main).

When you play, I recommend experimenting with EVERY Bravery and HP attack you unlock in multiple fights before deciding what to equip. Almost every character can counter almost every other character somehow (although in my experience, Sephiroth is pretty much invulnerable against Cloud, until there's a difference of more than 10 levels), it's just a matter of learning which attacks and abilities to use and how.

That's the general strategy people seem to use, Ile probly just do that when i decide to power up all 22 characters to max Acc slots XD..as for favorite characters..I juggle between Firion, Cloud, Sephiroth, Jecht...and Gabranth. Not that he really counts :p.

Oh, And garland.

Hey Gabranth counts, don't diss the judge or he will wreck you. Mine is a complete monster of a fighter who I've geared up the pretty much stay in EX mode through the entire fight as long as he's attacking. All the accessories on him deal with accumulating ex, and prolonging his ex, I'd share my set up if I wasn't at work and unfortunately I got Guilty Gear in my PSP today instead XD.

He's not really overpowered seeing as he's a total pussy outside of EX mode so it's a matter of pressuring him and damaging him as much as possible before he goes ape shit. Then it becomes a game of keep away if you aren't really comfortable fighting his EX form because he does have some really fast attacks. All you really gotta do is watch out for innocence (where he fires massive blades of death at you), if you can avoid those you are pretty safe and you easily punish him if he misses and your close enough. Just gotta watch out for nubs that spam that XD

fair enough XD..I just recall levelling him to 100 and mowing every living creature down while laughing at their pathetic attempts at retaliation. Good times..

And as long as were talking about dissidia (totally predictable off topic nerdgasm inc) I forgot how friggin fantastic this games music was XD..I havn't even gotten a hold of the extra songs yet on my new playthrough, which as I recall are all fairly badass.

Yea...he's kinda easy to use against the CPU, and I never get tired of seeing his burst attack totally rape the enemy. Definitely a beginner friendly character when just power leveling, although when it comes to having a superiority complex and laughng at any pathetic attempt to beat you, EX-Death wins hands down. You know how to use him and your laughing all the way to the victory screen, his picture should be beside the definition of 'Brick Wall' in the dictionary.

Don't fuck with the tree.

Wait...new playthrough as in you started from scratch? Because that seems rather pointless, unless you are just continuing with the profile you have now that is. I don't think I could do a second playthrough from scratch after logging 600+ hours into the game on my profile....all that hard work.

I've given it a break recently seeing as I've been playing newer games at the moment and I wanna get some Persona 3 done before I pick up kingdom Hearts on Tuesday. Finished Ys7 last night thankfully so I got some time, and boy is that game addictive, fun, and has ball crushingly hard bosses.

Top notch job on jacking the thread. My main chars are Cloud (although I grew out of him), Tidus, Garland, and my MAIN main is Zidane. He's just awesome.

As for Rossetta stones, I just harvest them in the Colluseum. I didn't actually bother with Garland, and Story mode gives you enough to max out one guy, so I didn't need to farm that much.

Well it was a new playthrough because I bought the game the day it came out (midnight release in fact :p), beat it, got to Inward Chaos..chaos, died like a *****, then sold it for 20 bucks in order to get some 360 game. After selling it I deleted the game data, and about 4 days ago , bought it off the PSN for 20 bucks (aint that a *****). So I didn't really had a choice XD..plus now I get to experience the game from the perspective of not being a pansy and saying the game is impossible because I didn't learn how to dodge until shade impulse part 3..lol. And yeah..I bet Ys seven a few days ago, its unfortunate that it lacks a whole lot to do, because the core gameplay and those god forsaken godzilla bosses of death were a hella lot of fun XD..especially after you get Adol's omni-blade of death that kills everything and wins the game for you.

(Edit number two because Im too lazy to finish reading peoples posts apparently) Picking up birth by sleep as well, though I don't know how to feel about it, the last kingdom hearts game I played was that card one for the DS, along with number two, I can't remember which one came out first, but its a gamefly rental so I don't really have anything on the line. Im really just counting the days til Phantasy Star portable 2, which will give my life meaning until my almighty lord and savior fable 3 graces me with its existence :p.

Yea the quests were rather sparse in Ys7, I mainly did just the titano fights and got everyones ultimate gear. Beat the game at lvl 60 and it was awesome from start to finish, and even though the story was rather generic, that one big lot twist was pretty good I'll hand it that. That god damn Earth Dragon was still a pain in the ass, hated the chase portion of the fight, and the moon dragons stupid ass stunning attack near the end of the battle; would stun my party and begin to rape them.

As for Kingdom Hearts, I never payed on before so I'm stepping into new ground and seeing how well it will hold up to a non-fan like me. So far I've heard great things and the North American version has more content than the Japanese version, so I'm willing to give this a shot. Good thing it's chronologically the first in the series so less confusion hopefully.

And I'll be getting PSP2 when that comes out as well, love the demo and a portable MMO? FUCK YEA. Love the online play, and will definitely pick it up asap. And I STILL have to go pick up Valkyria 2....so many good games and so little money to squander.

Oddly enough, I loved the earth dragon XD..it was that goddamn satanic fire dragon that gave me hell, along with the fatass owl that tries to pretend hes a "Dragon". The titano bosses went down like bricks because the game uses that warcraft massive sliding stats thing with level gaps, so after a certain point your damage on them will go from 1 to like 700 XD..and yeah, I did about the same thing, but I was level 70 when I finished the final boss because he rolled me on my first attempt and I had alot of trouble finding the mats for peoples ultimate weapons, so I ended up power grinding for a long ass time.

And yeah XD..PSP 2 (Hah..just now got that. Clever.), I loved the entire series, dating back to phantasy star online for the gamecube, loved universe, loved PSP. (again, lawl), and PSP 2 just looks like all of the same with a huge ammount of improvements lovingly padded into the game. the Online play in particular is sure to be awesome.

Not even fair lol, I wrote like a 2 page reply, and it just didn't post :p. So yeah..in short, love earth dragon, eff fire and wind dragon, PSP 2 (Just got that lawl) l33t, and Valkyria 2, have no idea what that series even is XD..I heard about the first 1 a few days ago, and just realized that the second one is apparently out, but I havn't really the slightest idea what it is. Aaand theres the other post..*sigh*..

On an unrelated note, has anyone played Warriors of the lost empire or something of the sort? It looks like a somewhat generic psp RPG but I found it on the PSN and was considering picking it for some cheap entertainment.

I only got annoyed with the earth dragon when it came to the chase part because when he would charge at you sometimes he would just fucking outrun you and you'd get hit no matter what. The fire dragon I beat on my 3rd try I think and it wasn't so bad, he had a rather easy pattern and of course, Aisha pretty much rapes everything with her arrow spammage.

Havent heard of that game, but you might as well look up some reviews to see. If you want another good recent RPG you should try Hexyz Force, it's actually 2 RPGs in one as the stories run parallel with each other. Good old turn based combat, charming graphics, and pretty enjoyable story with a few decisions that will affect the other story. And there's also Crimson Gem Saga, which is also pretty fun and I bet is pretty cheap now.

And since this threads been rather derailed, I guess this is a good time to cheer for the upcoming Ghost of Sparta demo next week. It's only for playstation plus users (currently) which is retarded, but I'm sure the demo will be on torrent sites or PSP demo center soon. I'm soo downloading the demo when its out, loved god of war. And i gotta get around to playing the Yakuza demo too...even if it's only in japanese...
