Pick two.

It's a fairly well accepted business truth that (if you're operating legally and not using pseudo-slave labour) that you can only have two of these qualities when obtaining goods and services, the third has to be sacrificed;

If you want something fast and cheap then it won't be good quality.

If you want something cheap and good quality then you'll be waiting a while.

If you want something good quality and fast then it's gonna cost ya.

I was browsing Youtube and I kept coming across videos of douchebags picking up a video camera and recording their goddamn TVs/monitors, which, while being a cheap and fast way to watch the latest anime, is certainly not good quality and leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

I tend not to watch those videos, I will nearly always sacrifice time for low cost and good quality, I make up whatever time I lose through being fast with the rest of my life. If I can't sacrifice time then I'll sacrifice cost. I rarely, if ever, sacrifice quality for time/cost convenience.

Of the three, which one will you folks sacrifice if given the choice?

not really a good question, because it depends on *what* we're buying. some items i'd sacrifice quality, other times i'd sacrifice speed or i would pay more. not going to sacrifice the same things for all situations.

buuuuuut... if i had to choose, i'd usually pay more for something good quality delivered quickly. 'cause i don't like junk, and i'm impatient like most americans.

The fault of business isn't that people IN business make sacrifices. It's that they do not implement business ethics properly. The thing is that these 'sacrifices' are done to turn a profit at the expense of the customer, not because it's a hard decision to work with.

Does this triangle even apply if what you're getting is free?

It's weird. I tend to find that a lot of people will get more pissed off about something they get for free than something they had to pay for. I presume that's because, if someone invested money in something, then that means they put their confidence in it, and people are less willing to complain about what they got, because it means admitting that they were 'wrong'. If they got something for free, then I guess it's easier to be condescending.

Anyway, forgive me for rambling. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it depends on the circumstances, and on what I'm getting. I'm well aware of the triangle, so nothing ever really pisses me off unless I'm being denied, say, two sides of the triangle, or three, in which case it feels like a ripoff. If I can get something fast and free, I won't care if it's not good quality. If I can get something good quality fast, I won't care if it's expensive. If I can get something good quality cheaply, I won't care if it takes a long time.

I'm easy to please.
