Just wondering,
it seems all consoles have a remake of some old arcade game, and have added lots of prettey lights and colors, eg, space invaders extreme, but are there any of these like, eg, space invaders extreme for the PC?

I assume so.

To be honest, you'll want to look around on flash game websites, theres a lot of things like that.

They're on a mythical land called the internet.

Oh wait, remakes?
Remakes are terrible, they are enough colours in the old versions. Five.

Pfft. Everybody knows the only true colours are black, white and the glow off the screen from the CRT not being able to refresh quickly enough. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/op-ed/5266-Guest-Columnist-Spacewar-A-Journey-Into-Gaming-History]
That's why I maintain that games shouldn't be allowed to have exclamation marks in their title. Interesting though, makes me think of playing Sinistar, that thing terrified me.

Haven't seen a single fast-paced Flash game that wasn't garbage.

Fortunately there are plenty of Windows-native games. Every Extend, Grid Wars, rRootage, Tumiki Fighters, Self Destruct, Warning Forever for instance. These are all free.

Just the other day someone made a thread about Squid Yes, Not So Octopus 2: Squid Harder [http://bagfullofwrong.co.uk/bagfullofwords/2009/05/synso2/]. Try following a good indie games website like Bytejacker or TIGSource.

There is a really good Doujin shoot em up scene in Japan making games for Windows. Try looking at games by Kenta Cho and Warning Forever.
