Fastest paced games?

Preferably FPSes. Which game(s) give you that insane adrenaline rush? Out of all the games I've played, I'd say Quake III Arena is right on the top of the list, especially on those maps where you bounce around with no floor below you, and the instant respawn times. Or maybe Unreal Tournament, but I don't think it even approaches the speed Quake III.

Serious Sam could be another contender, with massive amounts of enemies on the screen at once and usually massive-er amounts of ammunition to blast away.

theres nothing quite like setting the options in halo 3 to mosh pit, with invisible pit and max speed.

I think action games are much more fast paced and adrenaline pumping than FPS games. Especially Devil May Cry.

Halo is an obvious candidate, all three of them have at least one level where it is a marathon rush to the end shooting all things in your way. Then there's Gears of War with the same feature.

But nothing gives me more an adrenaline rush then fleeing from the giant dinosaurs in the King Kong game. I'm serious that gets the blood pumping.

So true. I loved Q3 Arena so much I installed it on my phone. It works well but is impossible to play well because of the fiddly keypads.

Also: try the original Soldier On Fortune on the easier difficulty settings.

as far as non FPSes go id say ninja gaiden 2. iv yet to play a game as fast as that one

My longest life in a full ground war match was about five minutes. as a well-hidden sniper.

Either Quake or Half-Life Deathmatch. It's tough to say which one of those has a more frantic pace. Unreal Tournament used to be fast-paced before the maps grew to Battlefield size.
