I actually just ordered Pizza-Hut yesterday and my pizza was a medium thin and crispy with little sauce and pepperoni.

I dont have much, only ham and chrimps (The chesse and tomato sauce are there too of course). It's the small things that make the big...uhh, something. Forgot how that saying goes.

I like to keep it classy yet simple. Some fancy italian ham, good tomato sauce and one non-meat ingredient is the golden formula. Unfortunately Italy is the only place where they can do it properly.
Their pizza is pretty good over there.
From what I've heard, New York's pizza, while vastly different, is also worth a visit.

I've never had New York pizza, but I've had Italian.

I like the all-meat pizzas from the local Costco, but when I was little I'd eat those Lunchable pizza-crackers with the pizza sauce, pepperoni, M&Ms and chocolate sauce all mixed together.

...It's a wonder I'm not fat. Or radioactive.

For me, i love my pizza with only cheese, different types of cheese. Mmmm + Tobasco == Divine
Pepperoni and jalapenos is excellent.

Italian pizza is crap. I have been to most parts of Italy from southern to norther to eastern to western. I have to say American pizza kicks Italian pizza's ass up and down the block. I was REALLY disappointed by the pizza in Italy. In fact I would venture to say that a bad ass American style pizza place would be really popular in Rome, right neat the Spanish Steps. That serves lots of international micro-brews.

As for toppings I like a good American style combination pizza with just about everything on it except sardines. YUCK.

Oh my God... just... I am speechless.

And you are wrong, there's a reason none of your shitty American fast-food chains are operative in Italy.

Thanks to people with plebeian taste like you there's no good pizza in my town.
Plebeian? You are very arrogant. It is my opinion that Italian pizza sucks. You can like it all you want. Insulting me because of my opinion is very arrogant and plebeian of you. So I happen to dislike what you like. You need to learn some things about life in general it seems.

So what is so fancy and high class about Italian pizza? The sauce was good I can grant you that. But the crust was often very thin and flaky with little real flavor. The cheese all most always sparse and not generous at all. The toppings were adequate I suppose. I just happen to prefer more generous toppings on my pizza. The sandwiches in Italy were also very sparse as well. I feel like I did not get my moneys worth. All most all the other food was outstanding, especially in Florence.

Who said a thing about "fast food" establishments? Have you never heard of small town American pizza restaurants? I guess not. When you make assumptions you make an ass of yourself.

You are also delusional if you think that no American fast food restaurants operate in Italy. There is a McDonald's right next to the Spanish Steps in Rome. It actually has a very nice salad bar and serves pints of several very good European beers. It is also not the only one in Italy or Europe.

Bacon, Ground Beef, Pineapple, and Extra cheese. That's my best combination.
But I also love my ham and pepperoni as well.
