GOT to be Mumford and Sons: Sigh No More. Literally a perfect album.
Coming in not far behind are:
Yoko Shimomura's Kingdom Hearts Piano Collections Field and Battle,
Joby Talbot's Path of Miracles,
Jack Savoretti's Between The Minds,
Muse's Black Holes and Revelations/ Origin of Symmetry/ Showbiz... actually, any Muse album bar Hullaballoo,
Nightwish's Dark Passion Play
and any of Tim Minchin's stuff ever. Yeah, I know his songs are supposed to be funny but they're unbelievably well written too.

It would be very tough to pick my actual favorite so I'll just go with what's played the most right now: Gordon by the Barenaked Ladies.

Taras Kurchyk's Пісні Твоєї України Все по-новому. Every song is great and upbeat and most importantly Ukrainian.

Other than that, The Wall, pretty much anything queen has ever put out, Rosenrot, Hybrid Thoery, and Bon Jovi. Yea pretty much all of it.

Either:
The Sufferer and the Witness - Rise Against

Start Something - Lostprophets
or
Toxicity - System of a Down

Leaning towards the middle one, but in truth I've never been good at being decisive...
I'd say Siren Song of the Counter Cult was stronger, but The Sufferer And The Witness is really great. Had the polished sound and several good songs. It's kinda hard to pick out one that's better than the other. Give It All and State of The Union on the first, Survive and The Good Left Undone on the other.

Welcome To the Masquerade - Thousand Foot Krutch. It's not the album with the music I like the best, but it's the album which I think reeks the most of talent from all the albums I like.

Either The Terror State or The Bright Lights of America by Anti-Flag. It's too hard to pick between the two since I like the way they experiment with their style in the latter and both albums got some solid material.

... and we have a winner.

I'd also suggest Seventh Son of a Seventh Son and A Matter of Life and Death by Iron Maiden, but nothing really comes close to Painkiller.

My all-time favorite is most definitely In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel. It's the only album where I can't think of a single thing that could be changed or improved in any way.

Other close seconds:
Tigermilk - Belle and Sebastian
Illinois - Sufjan Stevens
Separation Sunday - The Hold Steady
Oh, Inverted World - The Shins
The Tyranny of Distance - Ted Leo and the Pharmacists
Twin Cinema - The New Pornographers
The Monitor - Titus Andronicus
