Favorite alien race in a videogame

I think I can honestly say that sci-fi is my favorite genre, something about the concept of exploring planets other than this one is just exciting. But easily one of the most appealing aspects of space are the aliens, intelligent beings that aren't Human and can really spice things up. So what's your favorite alien race? I know what mine is.

The Sangheili/Elites from Halo. No one kicks ass and takes names quite like they do. I don't know, maybe it's the fact that they really earn the name Elite in combat, maybe it's that they have kickass energy swords, whatever it is, they are badass.

So what about you? What's your favorite alien race?

The asari. A race of all female beauties. And they're blue. Blue is good. They also have biotic powers. I hear those can enhance sexual pleasure. Not to mention the 1000 years lifespan. You find one that is 100 years old and for the rest of your life she looks just as young as she was when you first met her. I wish the asari were real.

The Salarians are pretty damn cool.
Grunts from Halo too. I love those little guys. I just wish they'd stop BOMBARDING ME WITH EXPLOSIVES ALL OF THE TIME.
But then again, that's probably what I'd do if I was a soldier in a war against giant super soldiers. I'd find the biggest gun I could find and hope for the best.

I am utterly shocked no one has specifically mentioned the Krogans yet. How many other alien races have been mentioned to have a quad?

Although, I am going to also have to echo the Vortigaunts. Their shift from subjugated foot soldier to valued ally between both games was pretty cool.

This alien race has fascinated me since I was 11 years old. I grew up watching the movies, reading the novels, and of course playing the video games.

Their life cycle never made ANY fucking sense to me though.

They require a queen to lay eggs, the eggs then hatch into facehuggers, which then implant an egg into another captive organism, KILLING said organism. None of the Aliens forms remotely suggest they are herbivores, so unless they're scavengers, how do they feed themselves? Their reproductive cycle would exhaust all their possible food sources and drive EVERYONE and EVERYTHING extinct, including their own species.

They're likely an engineered race made to be murder machines. Now that I'm thinking about it at least in the films, I can't recall them eating anything...

An alien is a life-form that originates from a different planet, and the Geth are sort of alive, as they are sapient, or at least after the upgrade. So I would personally call them a life form, just not an organic life form that people normally think of as alive.

I usually make it a point to pick the alien race when I can in a game, it's just so rare that you aren't forced to wear the traditional beefy monkey suit for the right to shoot things that the novelty still hasn't worn off.

Because Dwarves are the best.

On the other hand the Asari are pretty great because it doesn't matter if you're ugly, they can't see the difference, they even have sex with Krogan!
That's totally not because I'm ugly or anything, because I'm not, just looking out for my fellow humans... Yeah.
