For favourite it's either Dragon or Fire or even better both together. For least favourite it'd have to be Grass and Bug because they are pretty useless.

Fire or Electric are probably my favourites. Not a great fan of Normal types. Too boring.

My favourite types are bug, grass and water types. Rock and fighting types are pretty nice too. My favourite pokemon is Heracross, and even in gen 1, bug types themselves weren't that bad (I consider Pinsir especially underrated). Also, in generation 2 there was forretress and scizor. Bug/Steel pokemon have only one weakness. How badass is that?

My least favourite is Ice. It's just... give any pokemon an ice typing and it makes it weaker. You might as well get a water type with Ice moves. Give any pokemon an ice type and it makes it worse. Ice attacks are VERY good, beaing able to do 2x damage to four different types. They're especially useful against trainers like Lance. But as I mentioned, no point in getting an ice type pokemon when you can just teach Ice beam or Ice punch to your main special attacker on your team (of course in gen 4, you'd teach ice punch to a physical attacker).

At least in Gen I and II, Ghost Pokemon are utterly useless to me. The anime specifically has Ash aquire a Haunter in order to defeat Sabrina after her psychic moves kerbstomp him.

Ingame? Psychic types are super-effective against Ghosts. Psychic moves/Pokemon are a must have in my team, so I'll bumrush for a Butterfree asap.
Firstly, psychic is normal against ghost. However since ghastly/haunter/gengar are also poison type, they take 2x damage against psychic moves.
Ghost pokemon in gen 1 and 2 were very good special attackers. Since ghost moves were all physical until generation 4, you wouldn't teach ghost type attacks. Give a gengar moves like psychic, thunderbolt, ice punch, etc. Gengar is very versatile in that way, and can do serious damage to nearly any pokemon.

But whoever said "Use bug and ghost pokemon against Sabrina" needed a slap in the face, because it definitely was not true in the early generations. AFAIK ghost moves weren't even super effective (they did nothing?) against psychic pokemon in generation 1, and the first good bug move was in generation 2, megahorn, which could only be learned by heracross, which takes double damage from psychic types. There is some very strange advice in the anime...

Favourite: Dragon and Ghost

Least favourite: Poison and grass

I'm not sure why I like ghost types so much, I just have a soft spot for them.

Ghost is my favorite, Gangar is the best.

Normal types on the other hand I absolutely hate.

My favorite type is Psychic, I guess.

My least favorite is Poison. I hate the poison status condition, and the only type poison is effective against is grass. And given that there are a bazillion other way to deal with the grass type... Yeah, poison sucks.

i always choose the water starter. as a result, water is my favorite type. because of that, i hate grass and electric types with a passion.
even if i didn't like water types, i hate grass types because a large portion of their moves focus on status effects, which i hate.

i also like ground, ghost, and fire types.

A rock boring? You just turned my world upside down. :p

Least favorite is poison because of the status effect.

Favorite is fire, water is a close second, flying is definitely up there.

Favourite: Probably flying. I tend to use those most often.

Least favourite: Normal. Who needs a type with no type advantage?

I keep on catching myself using bug pokemon. Ninjask, Volcorana, Scizor, and Heracross are all incredibly fun to use. I also like Drapion....I't at least evolves from a bug type. I also tend to use a lot of flying types.

So yeah; favorite types are bug and flying

And since I hate using Legendaries/Pseudolegendaries, I pretty much hate using any dragon type. Cept Kingdra, Kingdra can stay.

captcha; the dude abides.

Normal sucks.

Ghost is probably my favourite. I've never particularly bothered with the whole team building thing, I just think Ghost pokemon are cool.
Insofar as any pokemon are cool, anyway.

I think my favourite type is probably electric (love Luxray so much ;_;). I've never particularly cared for any rock type pokemon though.

Why, are you a geologist? :p

The only rock pokemon I found interesting was Golem.

Okay seriously, WHAT is with all the Pokemon threads.
I've noticed that too, there have been a lot of these threads recently. I'm not complaining, its just a little odd. I would'nt imagine you'd find many pokemon fans on the escapist. maybe I'm wrong.
OT: Well, I really don't like poision types. They have one strength and two weaknesses, and are pretty much useless. The only poison type in Uber is Arceus-Poison for a reason. I don't think poison pokemon should exist- the type can stay, but there shouldn't be exclusively poision type pokemon.
As for my favourite type, well, that's tricky. I really like Electric and Water types but I'd have to say Dark. Gen 5 introduced two awesome Dark types- Zoroark and Hydregion. Best bit is that Zoroark is UU, which people never expect, so you can disguise it as a fighting type to lure in a Psychic type, then get STAB super effective hits on it.
I agree I'm not really complaining either about all the Pokemon threads, I just found it quite odd. Although at least this is one thread trend that I can finally have enjoyment with.

For the use of tactics, my favorite is a grass-water type of pokemon (Ludicolo). Just for fun, I like fire and rock types.
Least favorite: Bug probably. I just don't see the fun in them.

Hmmm... I have gotten a love for Dark types for some reason. So yeah :3

Worst... Has to be normal. Not really any good Pokemon, and only good moves are Hyperbeam, and the two suicidal moves.. And hyperbeam must recharge .__.

Favourite? Definitely Steel types. I run a very slow stall playstyle team. Abusing entry hazrds with phazing and whatnot. Steel naturally is an amazing type because it's resistant to almost everything. Need to live an outrage? Steel is the only type that resists dragon. Worried about defensive coverage? Steel resists 12 of the 17 types.

My least favourite is definitely rock. You want to know why?

That is why I hate rock.

... I actually really like bug types. I think they're my favourite to be honest. Maybe tied with fighting. I love accelgor, Scolipede, scyther, pinsir and Escavalier.

Least favourite is probably... Ice? Just for being so unmemorable and a bit rubbish until dragonite shows up. The only exception to this is glaceon. So damn cute!

My most favorite is Steel. There's a good deal of flexibility there, ironically enough.
My least favorite is Bug, because as prolific as the type is, there are very few worthwhile Bugs out there,
