I would say that if I had never seen Cowboy Bebop. The only TV program I think might have been better than Bebop was maybe the original Rod Serling Twilight Zones. Maybe.

Anime: ...Slayers, probably. I'll throw Outlaw Star and Steel Angel Kurumi in there, too.

Cartoon: Avatar, hands down. Runners up would be...Rocko's Modern Life and old-school Scooby Doo, I think.

Cartoon: I'm really digging The Secret Saturdays for some reason. I'm not sure why.
I'm not sure why either. That show pisses me off ALMOST more than that new abomination of a Batman cartoon. Why do people think that throwing back to the old Adam West show is a good idea? Adam West single handedly turned Batman into a joke for almost 20 years. Why go back to that?

I don't have a specific favourite, my top 5 on the other hand:
Batman TAS, Mega XLR, Deathnote, Full Metal Alchemist and Samurai Jack.

Edit: Make that top 6 - Cowboy Bebop. :p

Favorite Anime: Scrapped Princess, a cool little fantasy series directed by BONES before they tackled FMA or Eureka 7.

Favorite Cartoon: Justice League Unlimited, deeply rooted in DC lore, full of obscure and awesome heroes and awesomely working with the mood set by Kieth Giffen and J.M DeMaties in their work on the Justice League in the 80's and 90's. Mix equal parts overarching plot and comedy and you get one KICK ASS series. Also there's an episode about Booster Gold, who doesn't love Booster Gold?

Too true and I'm not even saying that every episode of Bebop was as deep as every episode of FLCL but FLCL did only consist of 6 episodes. Definitely a masterpiece, I just liked Bebop more. I liked the art style a bit more, I liked the characters more, I liked how each episode was of a slightly different genre, and I liked the soundtrack a bit more: like Yoko Kano was channeling Charles Mingus- one of my all time favorite musicians. I liked all those aspects of FLCL too, but only almost as much.
Then again, I didn't watch it every single time it played on adultswim.

Inuyasha was a regular of mine until it got unwatchable, then I matured.

Stand Alone Complex is good (I can't stand the original GitS movie. Hey, Gits, no wonder it sucked)
Pani Poni Dash was good fun
Ranma 1/2 is a classic, as is Azumanga
Fruits Basket was sickeningly cute but I enjoyed the hell out of it.

I haven't watched much good stuff besides that.
