Know what I think is the best part of Anime, outside of the anime, its openings and endings. The openings naturally have to get the new people hooked, or at least tell us something about the show, and the endings at the end of the episode have to have us feel satified, happy to have sat through that 30 minutes of whatever.

How about we get a little discussion going, give a link to the youtube or blip or whatever to let others see the anime, and give an explaintion as to why they are your favorite.

For my favorite opening, Soul Eater's Resonance
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fviG6uUH9a0
The reason I love it is the visuals, the song itself is ok, I've heard better, but the visuals are what sells it to me, it just is a visual porn that just makes me excited to watch the show.

For the ending, an old school classic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9fWYup98eY
Rurouni Kenshin's Heart of the Sword, the song is just classic, hell I wish this was the opening, it is far better then the regular opening. Its the song, it basically can be slapped onto any AMV if you want to make it even more awesome ,go on try it

So what do you guys have for me?

The Lucky Star opening was better than the show itself IMO.

I also just ... really like the Nichijou opening. It's crazy like the show itself and the song is catchy as all hell.

I love the Cowboy Bebop intro. It's cool, brief, succint and captures the spirit of the show nicely. Never skipped it, not even on reruns. No, I don't feel like linking it. Everybody knows it by now anyway.

Baka and Test's intros were the best. Still waiting on season 3, which has a .001% chance of happening

The best ending has got to be KissXSis's ending. The dancing is superb.

Normally I just skip the opening and ending. Of the ones I didn't skip:

Actually, you could also consider Kuroko's Basketball Season 1 among my favorites. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a video of it with even half-decent audio quality.

Sorry for the mediocre quality. This is the best I could find.

What's odd is I don't find those songs particularly great on their own. However, I felt that they perfectly gave a sense of closure to most of the episodes of their respective series and fit the mood of the series as a whole very well.

I got alot of favourite anime openings and endings so I only going to post a few-
Openings
I just basically like seeing the full force from Whitebeard Pirates and the Marines]
Ok sure that didn't how it happened in the arc but it certainly way an awesome way to show off the upcoming arc!
I just loved the animation quality and the cinematic like presentation to it.
I forgot how awesome the anime was when it first started since for one thing, the opening kicked ass on both song and opening presentation. The visual is artistic like and funky despite it has nothing to do with the anime at all and it only at the 1.00 mark that you get a snippet on what the anime is really is!

Endings
The song is sweet and I liked seeing the wrecked Gundam being erode and taken over by nature.
The song is also sweet and it was nice seeing it was focus on Erza.

Anyway these days my current favourite openings are Kill La Kill opening 2 (so epic), Space Dandy (so funky) and Gundam Build Fighter opening 1 (like the song and the way it present the characters in it).

I don't really have a favourite closing, since that's when I usually stop watching or skip to the next episode.

Great work out song. Also most of the lyrics somehow sound like English (You say NO), so it's easy to sing along with in my head.

Really upbeat.

The Winter Openings have killed in general

D-GreyMan: It's just stills, but the song is the perfect amount of melodrama.

Honorable mention: WitchCraft Works.

Also anything by Maaya Sakamoto is golden.

When I was first getting into anime, I saw this and I thought. "Yep, this is the most anime thing ever." It just encapsulated every preconception I had. Never got into Bleach, but I got a real soft spot for this OP. It's real good.

Any more openings...guess I should add another good opening

Third one piece opening, I remember the first time I heard this, after hearing the one piece rap (which I admit to being so bad its good) this was like a breath of fresh air

I've found a lot of openings I love But my top three would have to be
D.Gray Man opening 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A41vCdyPP74
Naruto Shippuden opening 13: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ocXCK65mng
And Fairy Tail opening 6: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_W0lEk8nII

My favourite endings are
Blue Exorcist ending 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrdqnyCb5YI&index=4&list=PLD181B72843A633B4
Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi ending 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxVDWBJKgos&index=2&list=PLD181B72843A633B4

I've also found music that is played in the middle of episodes cool, especially the music from Blue Exorcist.

This is my favorite OP of all time. The anime it corresponds to is good at best, but my god does this song get me pumped up and ready to go like nothing else. Every time I hear it it gives me the sensation best described as "Everything's gonna be okay, so go out there and kick ass."

Personally my most recent favorite would be Viva Namida (by Yasyuki Okamura) for Space Dandy, just really... funky. Can't be unhappy with that song on. Or Respect For the Dead Man (by Pay Money to my Pain), it's something I can listen to casually without feeling like a dork... besides it being metal. It's also a full English song to an otherwise entirely foreign language, for Nobunagun. Kinda the opposite of Space Dandy, which I watch Dubbed because I'm a heretic that eats babies.

naaw I prefer dubbed too, and I think dub is good depending on the company, Look at FMA and FMA B, Soul Eater, Black Butler (though the Servants voices were annoying I admit) Yu Yu Hakusho, are a few I can name off the top of my head with great preformances all around

But then there's stuff like the Medaka Box dub, which is just... weird. It's got good actors there, but the characters were given to the wrong actors, and every time they say 'san' or 'chan' I want to throttle a nearby badger.
But for all intents and purposes I don't get the hate for dubs, fair enough if you speak Japanese and can understand it, but for the most part, unless the dubbing is bad, then I dun ged it?

No I agree, a bad dub can ruin a good anime (or in the case of Bible Black, turn it into a so bad its good laugh a thon LOL)
