Favorite AVP Weapon and Why.

Seeing as the new AVP game is out and the AVP Battle here on The Escapist is in full swing (join up with the Marines if you wanna fight with the best by the way) I was wondering. What is your favorite weapon from any of the AVP games and why.

I haven't played the newest installment yet but I was always partial to two weapons that really did tie and were death incarnate when combined well. The Marine's grenade launcher and smartgun. With the proximity grenades employed and the smart gun left to pick off the remnants one could destroy an onslaught of Aliens before finally running out of ammo and being murdered by the horde.

The eternal Pulse Rifle. That magnificent sound and ammo counter make the marine experience a kick.

I always liked the Predator's little disk launcher thingy.

Then again, I disliked every AvP game to date, so what's my opinion matter?

+1 for the M41A.

No particular reason, I just like doing impressions of Hudson with it...

AvP2 was one of those rare games I even played online, and as a Heavy Predator I was a force to be reckoned with - the combination of net gun and combistick must have gotten me hundreds, if not thousands, of trophies.
Special mention goes to the immensely satisfying spear gun from the same game. Instant decapitation! Wheeeeeeeee! ^^

Seeing as I prefer playing as the Predator, I prefer using the spear (I know it's called a Combi Stick, I just prefer the word spear) because it's a lot more rewarding when you get a kill with it and it's harder to use than simply holding down a trigger and locking on with the Plasma Caster or tracking someone with the Smart Disc. Also, it doesn't give my position away which is a huge plus.
